How to enable AI assistant for course creation in Zoho Learn     

In order to use AI assistant in Zoho Learn LMS, hub admins will have to enable AI integration from the hub settings.
Here's how you can enable AI for course creation:
  1. Go to Hub Settings.

  2. Select AI Assistant from the Integration tab.

  3. Provide your Secret Key.

5. Click the Enable button after reading the Terms and conditions form.

 

Getting your Secret Key:

You can find your Secret API key on the API key page.

Follow the steps on the incorrect API key provided page if you have trouble adding the key.

Note:
  1. Ensure that you check your OpenAI current quota, your plan and billing details before you proceed.
  2. Hub admins can add or update Secret key to use AI features inside the learning module.

AI features within Zoho Learn LMS to can help with creation course overview, course structure, assignment questions, and more with the help of prompts.

Creating a course outline using AI in Zoho Learn   

You can create a course outline by leveraging the AI in Zoho Learn.

To create a course structure with AI:

  1. Navigate to the course.

  2. Click the Create outline with AI button.

  1. Type in the details related for the course structure that you want to create, such as the course topic, the specific subjects that you want to cover in the course, the number of chapters, the number of lessons within each chapter, the course level, lesson formats, and any additional information regarding the course.

  2. Click Generate.

  3. Click Insert once the content is generated.

Note: Currently, Block lessons are not supported as a lesson type in AI course outline generation. However, you can click the Change Type to change a lesson to Block lesson before inserting the generated outline.  

How to improve the AI generated course outline?  

You can make edits to improve the content generated with AI. You can add a lesson, rename a chapter, rename a lesson, regenerate the outline, improve prompt, or suggest a new chapter.

Regenerating content 

To regenerate content:

Click the Regenerate button the appears below the AI generated outline.


 Editing a prompt 

To edit a prompt:

Click the Edit Prompt button.


Adding a new chapter along with its lessons using AI 

To add a new chapter along with its lessons:

Click the Suggest New Chapter button.


Adding a new lesson 

To add a new lesson:

  1. Click on the AI Assistant button after the course outline is generated.

  2. Click Add lesson.

Renaming chapter 

To rename a chapter:

  1. Click the AI Assistant button next to the chapter name.

  2. Click Rename chapter.

Generating a course overview with AI   

To create a course overview with AI:

  1. Navigate to the course that you want to enhance.

  2. Go to the Overview tab.

  3. Click the AI Assistant button ( ).

  1. Provide the prompt and click Generate.

  2. If you are satisfied with the response, click Insert.

    

Renaming a lesson using AI  after inserting the generated outline

To rename a lesson using AI:

Navigate to the lesson and click the AI Assistant button.

Generating text lesson content using AI in Zoho Learn  

You can create text lessons with AI in Zoho Learn.

To create text content using AI 

  1. Navigate to the lesson of your choice and click Edit content.
  2. Click the AI Assistant button in the editor.
  3. Type in the topic and click Generate.
      4. Make enhancements to the content if necessary.
      5. Then, click Insert.

You can generate Assignments and text lesson section in Block lessons using AI.

Enhancing content generated using AI 

You can rephrase, change the tone and length or even check grammar for the text content generated with AI.

Rephrasing generated content 

To rephrase content:

  1. Click the Rephrase button.

  2. Then, click Insert.

Changing the tone of the content 

You can choose from four tone options.
To change the tone:
  1. Click Change Tone and select your preferred tone from the options.

  2. Then, click Insert.

Changing length of the content 

You can either shorten or elaborate the lesson content.

To change the length:
  1. Click the Change Length button and click Shorten/Elaborate.

  2. Then, click Insert. 

Grammar check 

To check grammar:

  1. Click the Grammar Check button.

  2. Then, click Insert.

Additionally, you can edit the lesson topic by clicking next to the topic name, and copy the generated content to clipboard by clicking.
