Newsletter - manage contacts

As a business planning on growing your email list, form signups can be a great way to do so, newsletter being one among them. Adding a newsletter sign-up widget on your website will help you build your contacts, who, with steady communication, can convert as your customer.

On Zoho Sites, you can nurture relationships with the sign-up widget that you can easily drag and drop on to your website.
To do so:
  1. Click the add button on top of your builder. Choose Element -> Others -> Newsletter. You can do the same by clicking Section and then choosing Newsletter tab.





  2. Customize it by clicking on it and editing the text and font to your choice.


Manage contacts

To build your email list, it is important that you streamline these contacts and manage them properly. You can choose to integrate Zoho Sites with two prominent email marketing automation tools, Zoho Campaigns or MailChimp.
To streamline contacts on Zoho Sites through Zoho Campaigns:
  1. Click the Settings icon of the newsletter element. Make sure you are on the Integration tab in the settings window that opens. 



  2. Choose Zoho Campaigns (Click to Connect). Remember that you must have an account on Zoho Campaigns in order to connect your Zoho Sites to Zoho Campaigns. Learn more.
  3. On Zoho Campaigns, create a list which enables you to view contacts with respect to a particular item and take actions accordingly. Learn more about it here. Make a note of your portal ID on Zoho Campaigns.


  4. On Zoho Sites, after you click Zoho Campaigns, choose the portal ID or name from the Select portal dropdown. The email lists created under the portal ID will automatically show up here, from which you can pick the right one from the Select List dropdown.



    This will ensure any email address entered in the sign-up widget automatically gets stored under the list created on Zoho Campaigns.

To streamline contacts on Zoho Sites through MailChimp:

  1. Click on the settings icon of the newsletter element. Make sure you are on the Integration tab in the settings window that opens. 



  2. Choose MailChimp (Click to Connect). In the dialog box that opens, click Connect. Please remember that you must have an account on MailChimp in order to connect your Zoho Sites to MailChimp. Learn more.



  3. On the next screen, log in with your username and password to authorize your Mailchimp account to Zoho. Then, click Allow.
  4. Within MailChimp, create a list and make a note of name of the list you create within.
  5. Go your sites builder and select the name of the list from the dropdown.

This will ensure any email address entered in the sign-up widget automatically gets stored under the list created on MailChimp.
