Analyze your responses using the following methods:
TURF Analysis
Market Researchers use TURF Analysis, short for Total Unduplicated Reach and Frequency Analysis, on a limited budget to:
- Estimate media and market potential
- Optimize communication and placement strategies
It identifies the number of people that a particular combination of media communication, product or service can reach, and how frequently they are reached. In Zoho Survey, TURF analysis can be done on multiple choice (many answers) type questions that have three to ten options.
To perform TURF analysis:
- Click the TURF Analysis dropdown above a multiple-choice (many answers) question’s report.
- Select a Simulation Level. We currently support a simulation count of up to six. Simulation Level refers to the number of options that each combination must have. For example, if a question has three options, selecting two counts as the Simulation Level would give you a TURF report with two options in each combination, as in the following screenshot.
Sentiment Analysis
Understand the sentiment of your responses with the help of Sentiment Analysis and Word Cloud. This feature has only been implemented in long answer questions.
To analyze the sentiment of the responses you receive:
- Click Reports on the left pane.
- In the Summary of Responses section, go to the long answer response that you have received.
- Click Sentiment Analysis from the Analysis dropdown. The overall sentiment of the text will be displayed in the form of emoticons. It will also show the percentage of each sentiment in the text from a set of default choices, and a table that displays the response percentage and response count for each keyword in the text.
- Click Clear to remove the selection.
- Click the image or PDF icons to export the responses as an image or a PDF.
Word Cloud
To generate a word cloud for the open-ended responses you receive in your survey:
- Click Reports on the left pane.
- In the Summary of Responses section, go to the long answer response that you have received.
- Click Word Cloud from the Analysis dropdown. The keywords from the text are taken and formed into a word cloud. It will also show the response percentage and response count for each keyword in the text.
- Click Clear to remove the selection.
- Click the image or PDF icons to export the responses as an image or a PDF.NoteIf you have long answer questions in your survey, you need to select Responses, Sentiment Analysis, or Word Cloud to decide how it will show in your custom reports. You can also choose various display formats such as charts and tables to view and analyze the data better.
