Importing Knowledge Base Articles
If you are trying to import your existing list of Knowledge Base (KBase) articles into the Zoho Desk, then you can do it quickly with the help of our Import Article option.
Instead of retyping or copy-pasting the articles into the editor, you can import them directly from your desktop or a cloud storage service one at a time. Moreover, when you import a file, the file name and its contents are directly copied into the article's title and description respectively.
You can import articles from the following file formats:
To import an article from your desktop
- In your Zoho Desk account, navigate to the Knowledge Base (KB) module.
- Click the Add icon (
) on the top bar.
- On the Add Article page, click the Import Article icon (
) and select Import from Computer.
- Select a file to upload it from your desktop.
You can see the file contents pasted into the article editor.
To import an article from cloud storage
- In your Zoho Desk account, navigate to the Knowledge Base (KB) module.
- Click the Add icon (
- On the Add Article page, click the Import Article icon (
- Select the cloud service that contains your files from the Cloud Picker pop-up box.
You will have to authenticate yourself to the cloud storage service provider to access your files. - Once authenticated, select the file that needs to be imported and click Attach.
You can see the file contents pasted into the article editor.
- Each imported article file must not exceed 5 MB.
- You must click Publish to apply changes made to the article.
- Before you try to re-import a file, click the Clear button in the upper-right corner to remove the existing content.
