Cost-per-lead is calculated by dividing the total expense of the plan by the number of leads generated through the plan.Let's say the total expense for a plan is $1000, and the number of leads generated through it is 20.So, the CPA would be:1000 ÷ 20 = $50$50 is the cost incurred to acquire one lead in this planner.
How is ROI (Return on Investment) calculated?Return on Investment (ROI) shows the total returns received from the money spent on a plan or basically the investment. ROI is shown in percentage format; the total percentage of returns from the investment.Simply subtract the expense from the revenue, and the difference obtained is divided by the total expense and multiplied by 100 to attain the percentage, which would be the percentage of returns earned. If the expense was $600 and the revenue was $900, the difference would be900 - 600 = 300.This is divided by the expense and multiplied by 100:300(100) ÷ 600 = 5050% is the ROI earned.Alternatively, if the expense was the same $600, but the returns were only $500,the difference is 500 - 600 = -100, which is a loss. This is now divided by the expense and multiplied by 100:-100(100) ÷ 600 = -16.6%16.6% would be the ROI loss incurred.
