Before you begin
Here are a few things to know before you use Notebook in Connect:
- Notebook is enabled by default to all organizations using Connect.
- Notebook will automatically sign in using the signed in Zoho Connect account through Single Sign-On.
- The organization or network admin in Zoho Connect has the permissions to enable and disable Notebook to their users.
Enable Notebook in Zoho Connect - Steps for admin
Only your network/organization administrator can enable/disable Notebook for your organization. To enable, the admin should follow the below steps:
- Sign in to Zoho Connect.
- Click the plug icon from the top-right part of the page.
- Click Manage under the new page.
- Click Approve and the changes will be automatically applied to all members within the network.
Access Notebook in Zoho Connect
- Click the Notebook icon from the right panel in Zoho Connect web app to view all your notes created in Notebook.
- You can create, edit and delete notes.
- Search through your notes.
- Post a note as a status in Zoho Connect.
- Copy a note’s content to Clipboard.
- Secure a note and open a note in the Notebook web app.
Post a note as Status
To post a note as a status in Zoho Connect, follow these steps.
- Click the (•••) More Options menu placed on the top right of a note preview.
- Click Post as Status.
- Select the destination and click Share.
Associate a note to a post in a feed
You can associate notes taken on Connect with a post/status. To do so, follow the below steps.
- Scroll to the post which needs to be associated with a note.
- Click Take Note (the Notes icon) placed on the bottom of that post/status.
- Now, you can take notes for that post/status and the notes created will be associated with the post.
Associate a note to a forum/task
To associate a note to a forum or task, follow these steps.
- Choose the forum or task you need to associate to a note.
- Click the More options menu placed to the right of the title.
- Click Take Notes and start taking notes for that forum post.
Disable Notebook in Zoho Connect - Steps for admin
To disable Notebook, the admin should follow the below steps:
- Click the plug icon from the top-right part of the page.
- Click Manage under the new page.
- Click Restrict to disable Notebook and the changes will be automatically applied to all members within the network.
