Zoho Recruit add-in for Microsoft Outlook
The Zoho Recruit add-in for Microsoft Outlook enables you to view the details of your Recruit account in your Outlook account. The installation will allow you to do the following from your Microsoft Outlook account:
- Add candidates or contacts
- Associate job openings and tags with candidates
- Add notes and create to-dos for the candidates or contacts
- Parse attachments
Availability:
Profile Permission Required : Users with "Integration with Microsoft Outlook" permission in profile can only access the Outlook add-in.
Installing the add-in
- Log in to your Microsoft Office account and go to Appsource .
- Search for " Zoho Recruit for Email " and click Get .

Once the add-in is installed, the Zoho Recruit for Email option will be displayed under the More Actions button.
Understanding the add-in
You can use the add-in to:
- View candidates and contacts who already exist in your Recruit account
- Associate Tags and Job Openings to candidates from your mailbox
- Add users directly to your Recruit account from your Outlook email as either candidates or contacts
- Bring your outlook emails directly to Zoho Recruit.
- Add Outlook email attachments to Zoho Recruit.
- Parse attachments from your email at the click of a button.
- Add notes and to-dos for your candidates and contacts without having to go to your Recruit account
- Choose any email from your Outlook inbox.
- Click Zoho Recruit for Email from the list of add-ins.

If the user is not in your Recruit account, the Add as Candidate or Create Contact option will be displayed.
- Click on either Candidate or Contact and enter the details.
- Click Add Candidate or Add Contact.
- Open a candidate record and click on the More Actions button on the top right.
- Choose Associate Job Opening in the drop down box.
- In the list of job openings, choose the job that you want to associate the candidate with and click Associate .
- To associate Tags, follow the steps mentioned above and select Associate Tags in the drop down box.
- Add your tags in the dialogue box and click Associate .
If you want to edit any information for a candidate or contact, you can click on the More icon and choose the necessary options.
Parsing Attachments from your mailbox

Parse resumes from your Outlook inbox and add them as a candidate in your Zoho Recruit database. The Outlook plug-in lists the attachments from your mail when you select
Parse Attachments in the drop-down.

To parse the resumes, select the required resumes in the add-in and click Parse Now.

- The records created from the parsed resumes will be available in your Zoho Recruit account.
Note: You can parse only 10 attachments at a time.
Bring Outlook email attachments to Zoho Recruit
Whenever you receive an email with a candidate resume or any other attachments specific to a candidate/contact, you can add them directly to Zoho Recruit.
To bring email attachments in Zoho Recruit:

Go to your Outlook email account.
- Click on Apps inside the email content, then scroll down to look Zoho Recruit for Email.

From the right side pane, click Add Attachments.
- Once you select all attachments, click UPLOAD NOW.
Add Outlook emails to Zoho Recruit
Bring your Microsoft Outlook email conversations and associate with a candidate or a contact in Zoho Recruit. Additionally, you can also add in any attachments from email.
- Go to your Outlook email account.
- Click on Apps inside email content, then scroll down to look Zoho Recruit for Email.

Adding to-dos
You can add to-dos for a candidate or contact from your inbox.
- Choose an email from your inbox and click the more actions button.
- Choose the Zoho Recruit add-in and pin it to your window.
- Open a candidate or contact record.
- Click the To-Dos tab and choose Create a To-Do .
- In choose a to-do, select Task, Call, or Event.
- Click Add.
Adding notes
You can add notes to a candidate or contact from your inbox.
- Choose an email from your inbox and click the more actions button.
- Choose the Zoho Recruit add-in and pin it to your window.
- Open a candidate or contact record.
- Click the Notes tab and choose Create a Note .
- Enter a title and select Call, Meeting, Notes or Others.
- Click Add.
- You also have the option to add an email as a note.
Deactivating the Microsoft Outlook add-in
You can deactivate the add-in whenever required from the Manage add-in option in the Microsoft Outlook settings. The candidates or contacts added through the add-in will be retained after deactivation.
Information related to permissions:

A user can parse an attachment/resume for an existing candidate even if they don’t have the edit permission for candidate module.

A document from Outlook add-in will be added to Zoho Recruit by a user who does not have "Resume" Attachment Category upload permission.
