To create a folder:
Click the plus icon adjacent to the Folder label.
Enter the folder name in the dialog box that appears.
Click Create to set it as a standalone folder.
To create a subfolder:
Select the folder or subfolder under which you want to create the subfolder.
Click Create.
Alternatively, you can also:
Right-click the folder or subfolder under which you want to create the subfolder.
Select Create New Subfolder from the menu list.
Type the folder name and click Create.
Notes:
You can create nested subfolders.
Default folders are fundamental to the email client, hence can neither be renamed nor deleted.
To change the folder name:
Right-click the folder.
Select Rename Folder from the menu list.
Type the new name and click Save.
To change the folder icon:
Click the existing folder icon.
Choose your desired icon from the pop-up that appears.
To revert the new folder icon to the original icon:
Right-click the folder.
Click Reset.
To mark the contents of a folder or subfolder as read:
Right-click the folder or subfolder.
Select Mark Folder as Read from the menu list.
Alternatively, you can also:
Click the More icon at the top-right corner of the email list.
Select Mark Folder as Read from the menu list.
To delete a folder or a subfolder:
Right-click the folder or subfolder.
Select Delete Folder from the menu list.
Select Delete in the alert dialog that appears.
Notes:
The folder or the subfolder, along with its contents, will be moved to the Trash folder and will be retained there for 30 days, after which it will be deleted permanently.
You cannot delete the default folders like Inbox, Drafts, Template, Snoozed, Sent, Spam, Trash, and Outbox. In addition to smart folders like Newsletter and Notification, only the folders and subfolders that you have created can be deleted.
Once you delete a folder, any filter you have set for it will become invalid.
To permanently delete trashed folders or subfolders immediately:
Under the Trash Folder, right-click the folder you wish to delete.
Select Delete Folder from the menu list.
Select Delete in the alert dialog that appears.
Tags help in categorizing emails. They are similar to Folders, except that you can apply several tags to one email. Besides Inbox, the tagged emails will appear under the respective Tag View.
To create a new tag:
Click the plus icon adjacent to the Tags label.
Enter a tag name and choose a tag color.
Click Create.
To edit a tag:
Right-click the tag.
Select Edit This Tag from the menu list.
Edit the tag name and color.
Click Save.
To delete a tag:
Right-click the tag.
Select Delete Tag from the menu list.
Select Delete from the alert dialog that appears.
Mailboxes delegated from the Zoho Mail web app can be accessed in Trident's left pane under the Delegated section. Following are the permission levels with which mailbox owners can delegate them.
Read: Delegates can only view emails; all other actions, such as replying, moving, or marking emails as read/unread, are restricted. When a delegate reads an email, it remains unread for the mailbox owner.
Write: Delegates can perform various actions, including reading, replying, forwarding, archiving, deleting, and flagging spam emails—but they cannot compose new emails.
Send on Behalf: Delegates can compose, reply to, and manage emails. The recipient will see the delegated user's email in the "Sent by" field when they receive the message.
Send as: Delegates can read, reply to, compose, and send emails from the delegated mailbox.
