Creating New Folders and Subfolders
To create a folder:
- Click the plus
icon adjacent to the Folder label. - Enter the folder name in the dialog box that appears.
- Click Create to set it as a standalone folder.

To create a subfolder:
- Select the folder or subfolder under which you want to create the subfolder.
- Click Create.

Alternatively, you can also:
- Right-click the folder or subfolder under which you want to create the subfolder.
- Select Create New Subfolder from the menu list.
- Type the folder name and hit the return key.


Notes:
- You can create nested subfolders.
- Default folders are fundamental to the email client, hence can neither be renamed nor deleted.
- You can also create new folders using the contextual option that appears when you try to move an email to a folder that doesn't yet exist.
Changing a Folder's Name and Icon
To change the folder name:
- Right-click the folder.
- Select Rename Folder from the menu list.
- Type the new name and hit the return key.

To change the folder icon:
- Click the existing folder icon.
- Choose your desired icon from the pop-up that appears.

To revert the new folder icon to the original icon:
- Right-click the folder.
- Select Reset Icon.

Marking Folders and Subfolders as Read
To mark the contents of a folder or subfolder as read:
- Right-click the folder or subfolder.
- Select Mark Folder as Read from the menu list.

Alternatively, you can also:
- Click the Configuration
icon at the top-right corner of the email list. - Select Mark Folder as Read from the menu list.


Note: You cannot mark an entire folder or subfolder of emails as unread. Only individual emails can be marked as unread.
Emptying a Folder or a Subfolder
To empty a folder or a subfolder of its contents without deleting the folder or the subfolder:
- Right-click the folder or subfolder.
- Select Empty Folder from the menu list.
- Select Proceed in the alert dialog that appears.


Note: You will see "Empty Folder" as the drop-down option for the smart folders (Notification and Newsletter) and the folders and subfolders you created. Alternatively, you will see "Empty <Folder_Name>" for the standard folders. Example: Empty Inbox, Empty Sent, Empty Trash, and so on.
Deleting a Folder or a Subfolder
To delete a folder or a subfolder:
- Right-click the folder or subfolder.
- Select Delete Folder from the menu list.
- Select Proceed in the alert dialog that appears.


Notes:
- The folder or the subfolder, along with its contents, will be moved to the Trash folder and will be retained there for 30 days, after which it will be deleted permanently.
- You cannot delete the default folders like Inbox, Drafts, Template, Snoozed, Sent, Spam, Trash, and Outbox. In addition to smart folders like Newsletter and Notification, only the folders and subfolders that you have created can be deleted.
- Once you delete a folder, any filter you have set for it will become invalid.
Deleting Trashed Folders or Subfolders Permanently
To permanently delete trashed folders or subfolders immediately:
- Under the Trash Folder, right-click the folder you wish to delete.
- Select Delete Folder from the menu list.
- Select Proceed in the alert dialog that appears.

Viewing Shared Folders
When a teammate shares their email folders with you, they will be listed in the folder pane. The shared folders will be listed under the teammate's name. Depending on the permission level they give you, you'll either only be able to view the emails or view and reply to emails on their behalf.
Tags help in categorizing emails. They are similar to Folders, except that you can apply several tags to one email. Besides Inbox, the tagged emails will appear under the respective Tag View.
Creating a New Tag
To create a new tag:
- Click the plus
icon adjacent to the Tags label. - Enter a tag name and choose a tag color.
- Click Create.

Editing a Tag
To edit a tag:
- Right-click the tag.
- Select Edit Tag from the menu list.
- Edit the tag name and color.
- Click Save.

Deleting a Tag
To delete a tag:
- Right-click the tag.
- Select Delete Tag from the menu list.
- Select Proceed from the alert dialog that appears.
