How to replace characters like line breaks or tabs in a document?

Need to clean up formatting in Zoho Writer? Use the powerful Find and Replace tool to swiftly locate and swap special characters—including manual line breaks, tab characters, paragraph marks, and more. This method ensures precise formatting control, whether you're removing unwanted spacing or standardizing document structure.
Steps
You can use the Find and Replace tool in Writer to search and replace almost anything right from a simple text to any data such as a digit, white space, fields, headings, bookmarks, and so on. Refer Help
- Open Find and Replace using Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac).
- Click on Advanced Options to access the special character search menu.
- In the Find field, choose from options such as:
- Tab Character
- Manual Line Break
- Paragraph
- Any Number / Any Letter / Hyphens & Dashes Zoho Corporation
- Optionally select the replacement type in the Replace with field, choosing from similar categories or inputting custom plain text.
- To replace specific instances, click Replace; to update all simultaneously, click Replace All.
