A List View is grouping of records based on a defined set of criteria in your application. They are beneficial for displaying customer specific data according to your business requirements. Vertical Studio provides a set of pre-defined standard list views for each module from which you can set the default view for your application.
You can also create custom views for modules based on requirements. You have to create custom filters and organize records based on your criteria to provide the most required data within a module.Shift to the Custom View Settings tab and select the desired module from the drop-down.
Click Create View.
In the New View page, do the following:
Enter the custom View Name.
Select the columns to be displayed in the View mode.
Specify Criteria to filter the records.
Click Save.
It enables the subscribers to manage the visibility of the custom views they create. Subscribers can choose to keep their custom views private to their own accounts or share them with others within their organization, facilitating better collaboration and visibility.
Packaged Custom Views are created in the developer console and deployed to subscriber organizations during signup or through upgrades. However, changes to existing Custom Views are non-upgradable, meaning they cannot be released to existing users. These modifications will only be available to new users who join after the changes are made.
Custom Views are upgradable only when new views are added. In such cases, the updates will be reflected for both existing and new users.
