Sections

Sections

Sections are the building blocks of your page, within which you add your elements. These rows of content are arranged in their order of importance and can be individually customized. You can select to add a newsletter section, accordion menu, or a carousel among other sections to your page.

To access a section

Either hover over the content on your page and click to select a particular section, or click any part or content on your page and select the section option from the dropdown on the corner.
 
 

To customize a section

Access a section and use the customization tools from the pop-up. If the customization tool does not pop up, click the  icon.



 

To add a new section

  1. Click the Add   icon.

  1. Click Section.

  1. Drag and drop the desired section layout from the Sections content tray.

 

To delete a section

Access the section and click the delete icon.


To clone a section

Access the section and click the Copy icon . You can also clone by clicking the green Copy button at the bottom of the selected section.


To reposition a section

You can reposition your sections by accessing the section and using the four point icon.

  

To save and reuse sections

You can save and reuse customized sections wherever needed. To do so, access the section. Click the Save Section button.


To use saved sections

  1. Click the Add icon.

  1. Click Saved Sections.

  1. All the sections that you have saved will be listed. You can drag and drop the desired section.

 

To access your section tool box

  1. Click the section of your choice.

  1. Click the settings icon . The toolbox for the selected element will appear.

  

To save progress

The Zoho Sites builder has an auto-save feature that automatically saves your work as you continue to create your site. You can also manually save your work using the Save option. To save manually, click the save icon in the top-right corner of your builder. Your progress will be saved instantly.



Note:

  1. Use the Copy/Paste options to copy elements and sections and paste them to other parts of your website.

  1. Use the Redo and Undo buttons to help you reverse your previous edits.

  1. Use the element and section spacer provided in the builder to create or reduce space between items. This can be accessed via clicking  > Element > Dividers > Spacer.
