Embed codes allow you to share files or folders by embedding them directly into websites, blogs, or portals. Instead of sharing a download or access link, embedding lets external users preview content within your site while you control how the content appears and what actions are allowed, such as viewing, downloading, or printing.
Embed codes are ideal when you want to display content inline such as documents, images, videos, or folders without requiring users to leave your website or sign in.
Create an embed code
Right-click the required file or folder and select Share > New embed code. The embed code dialog box will open.
Alternately, select a file or folder from Team Folders or My Folders, click the dropdown arrow next to the Share button in the top action bar and choose New embed code.
You can see the generated embed code. Copy the code directly and paste it into websites, blogs, or portals.

When a folder is embedded, external users can preview all files inside it, with view, download, and print options (based on the permissions you’ve set).
You can only create one embed code for a file or folder, but you can add them to multiple websites or blogs.
Create a custom embed code
Custom embed codes allow you to control how embedded content looks and behaves, helping it blend seamlessly with your website’s design and improve the viewing experience for users.
You can customize the preview directly from the embed preview window before copying the code. You can customize an embed link, but cannot customize it after it is created.
To customize an embed code:
You can customize an embed code while creating, by clicking Customize embed view.
Or, you can customize an embed code after it is created, by right clicking the file and choosing Share > Embed code > Customize embed view.
