A few of popular LDAP servers are: OpenLDAP, ApacheDS, OpenDJ, 389 Directory Server.
Zoho Directory
Zoho Directory is a simple and secure directory, which helps in syncing user objects and their passwords in Active Directory (AD) with Zoho accounts. Zoho Directory automatically synchronizes user accounts in Zoho to match the user data in AD. As the synchronization always happen from AD to Zoho, the data in AD is never compromised.
How does Zoho AD Sync work?
- It queries your LDAP Server and Zoho Account.
- Compares the data in the two lists.
- Curates any changes during comparison.
- Updates your Zoho Account with all necessary changes.
Active Directory sync can be done only in Zoho Connect's enterprise plan. Only the admin of the network can set up the Active Directory sync.
