Permissions : Users with Manage Customization permission enabled will be able to create a Home View.
Who this feature helps and how
Canvas Home View is useful for teams across your organization.
- Sales teams can track deals, targets, and follow ups at a glance
- Managers can monitor performance and progress without opening multiple reports
- Support teams can focus on tasks, tickets, and pending work
- Marketing teams can keep an eye on campaign activity and engagement
By showing role specific information upfront, users spend less time navigating and more time taking action.
Use case
A sales manager logs into Zoho CRM every morning. Instead of opening multiple modules, they see a homepage that shows today’s deals, monthly revenue, open opportunities, target progress, and follow ups in one view.
The manager shares this homepage with the sales team so everyone sees the same priorities. This helps the team stay aligned and focused throughout the day.
Components in the Home View
Canvas Home View supports a set of components that help you present data clearly and take quick actions. You can use components such as:
- Dashboard components,
- Reports to show performance, targets, or trends,
- Kiosks,
- Widgets,
- Custom View to display records like deals, tasks, or leads
- Voice of the Customer
- Advanced Components
- Mandatory homepage selector
- Fields like name and logos
- Action buttons to quickly create or update records
Each component can be customized with options like colors, labels, and layout settings to keep the homepage easy to read.
How to create a Canvas Home View
Before you begin, make sure the Homepage Customization permission is enabled for your profile.
To create a Home View:
- Navigate to Settings << Customization << Canvas.
- Click Create Homepage button and select a template.

- The Canvas builder opens. Drag and drop components onto the canvas.

- Arrange components based on priority or requirements.
- Add mandatory fields and actions where needed.
- Add Queries for easy data access in your Homepage.
- You can also add custom list views created in canvas to your Homepage.
- Enter a name for the view and Save.

Once saved, the view will be listed as an option in your homepage.
Canvas List View Support in Home View
You can now add your existing canvas list views as custom list view to your homepage. Any list view created in Canvas can be used to render a Custom View in Home View. All three Canvas list view types are supported: Custom List View, Card or Tile View, and Table View.
If a module does not already have a custom list view, you can create one and then add it to the Home View. If you've not created any list views in canvas, you can Create New List Page from the properties section of the canvas builder so they can be embedded in any component of the Home View.
Component Customization in Canvas Home View
You can customize components to match your needs, such as:
- Add charts with coloured labels and background colours of your choice.

- Canvas Home View is supported in sandbox as well. You can create a Home View in the production account, copy it to sandbox users, make the required changes there, and then deploy those changes back to the production account.

- Associate Queries to your Canvas Home View for seamless data access.

Managing your Canvas Home View
After creating a Home View, you can manage it in several ways.
Sharing a Home View
You can share your homepage with individual users, groups, roles or profiles, territories and subordinates. Shared users can use the same view as their homepage.
Editing/Clone a Home View
You can edit a Home View at any time to add or remove components, change layouts or colors and update actions or mandatory fields. You can also clone a view and reuse if required.
