Import data from SharePoint [Beta]

Zoho DataPrep supports importing data from SharePoint, a cloud storage service that allows users to store, organize, share, and access information from any device.

To import data from SharePoint

1. Choose the Cloud storage category from the left pane and click SharePoint. You can also search SharePoint in the search box.

Note: If you had already added a SharePoint connection earlier, click the Saved connections category from the left pane and proceed to import. To learn more about Saved connections, click here.

2. If you have already added a connection, click the existing connection and start importing data.

Note: Click the Add new link to add a new SharePoint account. You can create as many SharePoint connections as required.

3. Authenticate your SharePoint account. You will need to authorize DataPrep to access your files when you do this for the first time.

Note: The connection configuration will be saved for importing from the SharePoint in the future. Credentials are securely encrypted and stored.

4. Choose the required site and drive. Select the files you want to import and click the Import button.

Note: We support only CSV, TSV, JSON, HTML, XLS, XLSX, XML, TXT.

5. If it is an HTML, XLS, or XLSX file, you can click the Preview option to view a sample of the data.

6. If the file is password protected, enter the password, and click the right arrow.

7. Click Import.

8. Once you have completed importing data, your dataset will open and you can start preparing your data right away.

Note: You can choose to schedule the import using the Schedule import option available for datasets in your workspace or from the Import menu in the top bar of the DataPrep Studio page. Click here to know more.
