Businesses often spend too much time tracking, following up, and updating key information manually, which could result in missing critical updates or making mistakes. Reports like daily ticket counts, weekly resolved tickets, and monthly customer feedback are essential in keeping the business on track and making decisions. Since these reports are usually recurring, creating them manually every time can be time consuming.
Scheduling these recurring reports helps automate the process—saving time, ensuring consistency, reducing errors, and eliminating the need for manual follow-ups. It also ensures that stakeholders receive accurate, timely data without delay.
Assume an interior design company uses Zoho Desk to manage client orders, project updates, and team coordination. The team spends a great deal of time tracking and following up on client approvals and material status.
To streamline the process, the company implements scheduled reports. A weekly report is generated with consolidated key information such as open tickets, pending design approvals, material status, and client feedback.
These reports are sent to the project managers and design leads, ensuring transparency and visibility across all team members.
Benefits of scheduling reports
- Consistency: Timely and consistent delivery of reports at regular intervals.
- Improves decision-making: Accurate data is shared with the stakeholders that helps with decision-making.
- Reduces time consumption and errors: Minimizes the time spent on repetitive tasks and the mistakes caused by manual intervention.
- Collaboration: Ensures that all the respective stakeholders have access to the same accurate data, helping with transparency and collaboration.
