Overview
With ZO25, Zoho One allows users to upgrade individually without the need to upgrade for the entire organization. Since the Dashboard 2.0 module supports additional features and widgets, upgrading individually from user login or switching between UI versions after upgrade comes with a few limitations. This article discusses the limitations and how to address them in detail.
When a user upgrades individually
Limitations: Since public dashboards can be managed only by admins, the public dashboards in your organization will not be migrated for these users till an admin upgrades to ZO25.
Solution: Request one of your admin users to upgrade to ZO25. Once an admin user upgrades, the public dashboards will be migrated for both the admin and the user.
Dashboard data sync between Spaces UI and Unified UI
Limitations: Dashboard 2.0 comes with additional features such as custom widgets, embed URL widget, quick link widgets, additional system widgets, and much more. Since these features are exclusive to the Spaces UI, all customizations and data corresponding to the dashboard module will be saved separately in both Spaces UI and Unified UI.
Let's take an example where an organization, Zylker, upgrades to ZO25. Now the admins and users in Zylker org can choose between two UI versions. For any dashboard in the organization, public or private, custom widgets added in Spaces UI will not reflect upon switching to Unified UI. The data will be maintained separately for the each dashboard in both the UI versions.
Solution: To make use of all latest features in the Dashboard 2.0 module and maintain data in a single place, we recommend using Spaces UI and avoid switching to Unified UI. Learn more about Spaces UI and the features specific to it.
