What is the Shifts service in Zoho People?

Shifts are an integral part of any organization. The Shifts service in Zoho People involves managing employee work shifts, shift mapping, shift rotation, and tracking to ensure efficient resource allocation. It facilitates accurate attendance recording.

How is the Shift Service useful, and who is it intended for?

  1. All Employees (General Usage):
    View shift details, mark attendance during shift hours, and request a shift change.
  2. Managers:
    All the above actions. Additionally, managers can be authorized to perform shift mapping and view reportee shift details.
  3. Administrators:
    In addition to what general employees and managers can do, administrators have access to Shift Settings and Operations, which facilitates managing and creating shifts, setting up shift rotations, shift allowance preferences, shift-related permissions, automations, and more.

> With the release of Zoho People 5.0, Attendance and Shift services are now split into two services.
