The Instagram Collaborate changes the way you share content together with your fellow creators/brands. This feature lets you co-create a post along with other Instagram accounts. The primary creator of the post can invite other users as collaborators. When they accept the invite, the post will appear on both their profiles. Best of all, even the likes, comments, and other metrics are shared by both profile users.
With this feature, you can ensure the audience will see the collaborator's name, as it is positioned right next to the primary creator's name when it appears on the feed. With the benefit of reaching the followers of your collaborator accounts as well, when you collaborate on your post with other accounts, you will reach a wider audience and also receive more engagement.
You can easily collaborate with other Instagram users as you publish a post to your profile from Zoho Social.
Benefits of collaborating posts
Share resources and ideas
Collaborating with other users gives you the space to be more creative as you share your ideas, thoughts, and perspectives. You can also share equipment that you might use to create the post, such as photography and light equipment. Ideas can be brought together to create something unique. This will bring in more variety to your content and feed, keeping your audiences' interest spiked.
Boost reach and share engagement
As your post will be appearing on all your followers' as well as your collaborators' follower base, your reach and visibility also increases. With this, more users come to know of your product, service, or campaign and will attract new followers. They will also engage on your post by liking it, commenting on it, or sharing it with someone. These metrics will appear on both the user profiles and can be used to the benefit of both the users, encouraging mutual growth.
Build trust and relationships
By collaborating with other brands or creators on Instagram, you can build long- lasting relationships with them and also create the space for more content ideas for your audience. When followers see a collaboration of someone with their trusted accounts, they tend to find the new brand credible as well, benefiting both the involved users.
Who can use the Collaborate feature?
Anyone who wants to reap the benefits of collaborating with a fellow Instagram account can make use of the Collaborate feature for their posts. Let's see some scenarios where collaborating posts help the brands reach more people:
- Zylker Travels, a travel agency, has been gaining popularity lately on social media due to their carefully curated tour packages, affordable deals, and promising service. This popularity also gained them the chance to curate a travel package to Bali for a travel influencer, Jay Smith. They seem to have impressed Jay with their service and arrangements in Bali, and he posts about his experience on Instagram. He collaborates on this post with Zylker Travels on Instagram, and thousands of his followers have started engaging with the post, and in turn have also started following Zylker Travels on Instagram.

- Zylker Mart's various branches are present in multiple cities in India, and they all have individual social media handles for their locations, through which they inform their followers about their store deals, discounts, and other news. For their new branch that's opening in Hyderabad, they create a new handle called ZylkerMart_Hyderabad, and they announce the grand opening through a post collaborated between their official and the new handle. This lets all their followers and loyal customers in the city know about the new branch, and also look forward to visiting it soon.
