Media guidelines for publishing across social channels

Publishing images, video, or other media files on social media is something that businesses do almost every day to build their brand's presence across different channels. As a content creator, it's essential to be aware of the different requirements for publishing media. Most creators have gone through the situation where the creative might look amazing before it's live, but after publishing, it might look completely different. The image might appear cropped, stretched, or blurry.

Why is this happening?

The media files uploaded on different social channels should satisfy some basic requirements. Various social media channels have different requirements for the file's width, height, size, and format, and so on.

While publishing images or videos from Zoho Social, unsupported files will be denoted by an attention

icon. You can use the default Image Editor to make appropriate changes adhering to the basic requirements before publishing them on your social media channels.

Important

You can upload up to 10 images for Facebook, and Instagram, and 9 images on LinkedIn, using the Customize Content editor. Otherwise, using the New Post editor, you can upload four images in one go.
Combination of images and videos can be added to Instagram Post or Stories from the web application as well as mobile app.
You can upload 1 media file and publish it right away using direct publishing or up to 10 media files using manual publishing for an Instagram Story.
