Connecting Mastodon account with Zoho Social
Zoho Social lets you connect your Mastodon account and publish or schedule posts in no time. You can also get detailed analytics on the performance of the published posts such as favorites, replies, re-blogs, engagements, and engagement distribution. You can select your server and connect your Mastodon account in Zoho Social to start publishing posts.
Mastodon integration is available on all paid plans, on your Zoho Social Web and Android applications.
To connect Mastodon
Go to Settings > Social Channels and click Connect next to Mastodon.
Select an appropriate Mastodon server or click Others and enter the server name.
Click Connect Mastodon.
Log in to your server with appropriate email and password.
Read the permissions required for Zoho Social in the Authorization required page and click Authorize.
Note:
If your Mastodon server is not listed while connecting with Zoho Social, choose the Other option and specify the Server Name. Refrain from entering the complete URL of the server. For example, if the server URL is https://travels.zylker/ just enter travels.zylker to connect the server with Zoho Social.
Publishing posts on Mastodon
You can choose to publish posts on Mastodon right away or schedule them for a later time using the various publishing options available such as and SmartQ or selecting a custom queue time slot. You can also attach an appropriate media file, hashtags, hashtag groups, and emojis to the post.

The character limit and the media requirements differ based on servers in Mastodon. Please make changes to your content or the media files based on the requirements mentioned in the error message.

To publish a post on Mastodon
Click + New Post.
Click the Add icon and select the appropriate Mastodonchannels.
Draft the content in the compose window and click on the attachments icon to add multiple photos or a video to the post.
Click the Hashtag Groups icon to include appropriate hashtags to the post.
Click the emojis icon and add relevant emojis to the post, if required.
Click Publish Now to publish the post right away, or schedule the post by choosing the appropriate Publishing Options.
Click Post Now to take the post live immediately, or click Schedule.
Save post as draft
When the post is not finalized, you can save it as draft and pick it from right where you left off at any time.
To save a post as draft
Click + New Post.
Click the Add icon and select the appropriate Mastodon channels.
Draft the content in the compose window and click on the attachments icon to add multiple photos or a video to the post, if required.
Click Save Draft.
To view all your saved drafts you can go to the Posts tab and select Drafts from the list of filters available on the left.
To work on drafts and publish
Go to the Posts tab and select the Mastodon channel.
Click Drafts from the filter available on the left.
Click the Edit icon next to the draft that you want to publish.
Make any necessary changes, then click Publish Now to publish the post right away. You can also select from the list of other publishing options available to schedule the post.
View posts
Once the post is published or scheduled, you can view them from the Posts tab. You can switch between the available filters to view all published and scheduled posts, posts awaiting approval, unpublished posts, and posts saved as drafts. You can also click the Calendar option to get a complete picture of your scheduled posts in a week or a month.
View performance of your post
Once the post is live, Zoho Social offers a detailed view on how the post is performing in real time. You will be able to view the following statistics:
Favorites: The number of times the post has been added to the favorites list.
Replies: The number of replies to the post.
Re-blogs: The number of times the post has been re-shared by Mastodon users.
Total Engagements: The total number of replies, re-blogs, and favorites received for your post.
Engagement Distribution: The pie chart depicts the distribution of engagements on the post such as favorites, re-blogs, and replies.
To view statistics
Go to the Posts tab and select Mastodon.
Click Published Posts from the available filter.
Select the post from the list and go to the Post Stats tab to view statistics on the performance.
You can also publish, view your posts and understand post statistics from your Zoho Social Android application.
