Note: You need to have a Zoho Writer account to avail this extension.

Install Writer Extension

1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.

2. Click All under Marketplace section. The listing page will appear.

3. Click the Configure button in the Writer option. The configuration page will appear.

4. Click the Install button. The extension will be installed.

5. Go to the Authorization tab.

6. Click the Authorize button. You will get a request to allow DRE to access data in your Zoho account.

7. Click the Accept button. The authorization process will be complete and your extension will be available in the detail view of your work items.

Manage Zoho Writer Documents

• Create new writer document

Create writer document

• the icon in sidebar in the detail view of a work item.

• the writer icon in the Board module.

• the writer icon in the Sprint details page.

• the writer icon in the sidebar of the Release details page.

• the writer icon in sidebar of the Meeting details page.

1. Navigate to the Project or Sprint Backlog .

2. Go to detail view of the work item in which the document needs to be created.

3. Click the Writer icon available in the right-side bar. The Zoho Writer window will appear.

4. Click the Create button.

5. Enter the File Name.

6. Select the Template Type as Blank Document.

7. Click the Create button. A blank writer document will appear for you to start entering content.

8. Navigate to the Zoho Writer window to view and access the created document.
   

1. Navigate to the Project.

2. Go to the Board module.

3. Select the required sprint.

4. Click the Writer icon available at the top of the board. The Zoho Writer window will appear.

5. Click the Create button.

6. Enter the File Name.

7. Select the Template Type as Blank Document .

8. Click the Create button. A blank writer document will appear for you to start entering content.

9. Navigate to the Zoho Writer window to view and access the created document.

9. Navigate to the Zoho Writer window to view and access the created document.

Create document using template

1. Navigate to the Project or Sprint Backlog.

2. Go to detail view of the work item in which the document needs to be created. (You can also create a template file in a Sprint, a Release, or a Meeting)

3. Click on the Writer icon available in the right-side bar. The Zoho Writer window will appear.

4. Click the Create button.

5. Enter the File Name.

6. Select Choose Template.

7. Select an option for Template Folder.

8. My template - Templates that are available in your account folder

9. Org template - Templates that are available in your organizational folder

10. Public template - Templates that are public

11. Select Template Category.

12. Select the required Template .
    Note : You can choose from the available default Sprint templates or select your own template.

13. Click the Create button. The document with the selected templated will be created and available in the listing window.

Associate an existing document

1. Navigate to the Project or Sprint Backlog .

2. Go to detail view of the work item to which the document needs to be associated. (You can also associate a file to a Sprint, a Release, or a Meeting)

3. Click on the Writer icon available in the right-side bar. The Zoho Writer window will appear.

4. Click the Associate button. The Zoho Writer window will appear.

5. Select the required Folder. The documents in the folder are listed.
   Note: Enter the file name in the search bar or copy and paste the file's URL to find the required document.

6. Click on the required files to select.

7. Click the Associate Files button. The file will be listed in the Zoho Writer window of that work item.

Disassociate a writer document

1. To disassociate a writer document:

2. Navigate to the Project or Sprint Backlog .

3. Go to detail view of the work item in which the document needs to be created.

4. Click on the Writer icon available in the right-side bar. The Writer window will appear.

5. Hover on the required file in the listing window.

6. Click on Disassociate . A confirmation pop-up will appear.

7. Click Yes. The writer document will be removed from the listing window of that item.
