To sign into Trident using your email address and password associated with your Zoho Mail account:
Launch Trident from your desktop or by searching for it in the search bar.
Click Sign in to Your Account at the bottom of the pre-onboarding screen.
On the Sign In page, enter your Zoho Mail account's email address and the CAPTCHA code, then click Next.
Enter your password and click Sign in.
To sign into Trident using Smart Sign-in:
Click Try Smart Sign-in.
Scan the QR code using Zoho OneAuth v3.1 or higher.
To sign in via email OTP instead of a password:
Click Sign in Using Email OTP.
Open your Zoho Mail account on the web and note the OTP.
Enter the OTP and click Verify.
Enter your mobile number.
Click Next.
Enter your password.
Click Sign In.
Notes:
Only the paid users of Zoho Mail, Zoho Workplace, and Zoho One (with Zoho Mail activated) have access to Trident. Learn more.
Adding external POP3 or IMAP accounts is not yet possible in Trident. However, you can add them from Zoho Mail web (Settings > Mail Accounts > Add POP3/IMAP Accounts). The changes will go into effect upon closing and reopening Trident.
If you have forgotten your password and are unable to sign in:
Click Forgot Password?
Verify the CAPTCHA displayed and click Verify.
Enter the last password you remember with this Zoho Mail account and click Verify Password.
If it matches, proceed to verify your identity with any of the given methods and choose to reset the password.
If you do not remember any past passwords related to that Zoho Mail account:
Click Forgot Password?
Verify the CAPTCHA displayed and click Verify.
Click Continue to reset password.
Verify your identity with any of the given methods.
Enter the OTP and click Verify.
Enter and confirm your new password and click Change Password.
Click View all options.
Click Continue on the page that gives instructions on how to verify via domain.
Choose a domain.
Enter the domain name and click Next.
Prove your domain ownership by adding a CNAME record, TXT record, or uploading a HTML file.
To sign out of Trident:
Right-click on your email address in the left pane.
Click Sign Out.
Or
Click the Main Menu icon on the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the menu list.
Select Accounts.
Navigate to the desired primary or secondary account.
Click More Options and select Sign Out.
In the alert that appears, click Sign Out.
In Trident, you can attempt to sign into Zoho Mail 20 times in a 24-hour interval. If you exceed this limit, you must wait for the buffer time to run out before signing in again.
Similarly, you can have 20 active sessions in Trident from different devices and web browsers. If you exceed this limit, you must remove the unused logins to continue signing in.
