How to import styles from MS Word or another Writer document
Overview
Zoho Writer lets you easily reuse styles from other documents to maintain a consistent look across your work. With the Import Design option, you can bring in style sets from:
- Other Writer documents
- MS Word documents (.docx)
This saves time and ensures brand or formatting consistency without recreating styles from scratch.
Prerequisites
Source file must meet the following requirements:
- Supported format: MS Word Document (.docx)
- Maximum file size: 10 MB
Steps
How to import a design style set
- Go to the Design tab on the top toolbar and click on More Design Options.
- Under Import Design, click Import from.
- In the Import Document Design pop-up, choose a source:
- Upload from your desktop
- Select from your Writer documents
- Enter a Writer document URL
- Enter a .docx file URL
- Enter a name for the imported design.
- Click Import Design to apply the style set.
The selected style set will now be available in your document’s design options.
Troubleshooting
Error/ Symptom: File not uploading
Recommended Solution: Check that the file is in .docx format and does not exceed 10 MB.
