What happens to my domain once it expires?

The expiration date for each domain depends on its initial registration period. The renewal process is subject to change upon whether the domain is set for auto-renewal or requires manual renewal.

  • If Auto-Renewal is enabled, we will attempt to collect payment one month before the domain's expiration date. We will send emails to inform you of the payment collection date.
  • If Manual Renewall is selected, we will send reminder notifications to inform you of the domains approaching their expiration dates.

Renewal Options

  • 45 Days Before Expiration:
When there are 45 days remaining until the domain’s expiration, a Renew button will appear next to the domain in your account's domain listing. This option allows you to renew the domain at your convenience.

Grace Period

  • Duration: After a domain expires, it enters a 30-day grace period.
  • Service Interruption: During this time, any website and email services associated with the domain will no longer function. However, you may still renew the domain without incurring any additional fees.
  • Restoration of Services: Once renewed within the grace period, all DNS configurations will be reinstated, and the domain will resume its normal functionality.

Redemption Period

  • Duration: Should the domain remain unrenewed beyond the grace period, it will enter a 30-day redemption period.
  • Additional Fees: Renewing a domain during the redemption period will incur an extra fee, which varies based on the domain’s Top-Level Domain (TLD).

Pending Deletion

  • If the domain is not renewed during the redemption period, it will be deleted from the registrar’s database and placed in a Pending Delete status for a period of 5 days.
  • Post-Pending Delete: After the 5-day pending deletion period, the domain will be released for public registration and will become available for any user to register.
