How do I configure a website for my domain?

Once you’ve registered your domain, the next step to make your website accessible online is to configure the DNS settings. DNS (Domain Name System) connects your domain name (e.g., yourdomain.com) to the web hosting server where your website is stored.

For domains registered through Zoho Domains, the DNS will be configured to Zoho nameservers by default. If you have chosen to point your nameservers elsewhere, check with your DNS provider to configure your website.

If your nameservers are pointed to Zoho, follow the below steps to configure your domain’s DNS records to the web hosting provider so that your domain renders your website.

  1. Access the My Domains page under your Zoho Domains account.
  2. Click Manage next to the domain you want to configure the website.

.     3. Click Manage DNS to be taken to the domain management page.

            4. Add DNS Record or Manage Records

    5. Configure the desired host records to point your website to your domain.    6. Once all configurations are in place, click Save.

The following is an example where a domain is configured to the site hosted in Zoho Sites.

Domain forwarding option is also available, as shown in the below screenshot.
