About Custom Module
The Custom module feature in Zoho Sprints is a multifaceted space to store your organization-specific data. The default modules of Zoho Sprints may not meet your unique organization needs, as they are commonly developed for projects adapting agile methodology. Many users also need to manage other organization-specific data that is not covered by the default modules as well. In such instances, you can use Zoho Sprints Custom Module to log your data and ensure that it is easily accessible whenever you need it, without having to juggle between multiple tools.
Switching between different products often leads to data loss and wasted time. With Custom Modules, you can centralize all your agile project-related information in one place. Capture every detail of your business, address complex requirements, and turn Zoho Sprints into a customized platform that works that works in concert with your organization.
Availability: Enterprise and Zoho One plan
Permission:
Users with the manage custom modules permission will be able to add new custom modules.
Users with view, create, edit, delete permission will be able to manage records in the custom module.

Initiative Management at the Global level
- Customer Onboarding
An agile management firm carries out many initiatives to ensure that their clients are satisfied with their service. One such initiative is to improve customer onboarding. Many agile teams have onboarding activities that are scattered across multiple epics and projects, resulting in fragmented visibility. All these customer onboarding activities can be captured and tracked from a single centralized location using the Global module. This provides a consolidated view of onboarding status across projects without switching between screens for project managers and the customers experience a timely attention at every onboarding stage across projects. - Legal Compliance
Compliance and Governance is another initiative that needs to operate at global level to ensure that all projects are legally complaint. For example, if GDPR should be rolled out across all projects, then the same initiative can be tracked and managed within the Global module for improved visibility and ensure all projects abide by the policy. By doing so, the product managers can mitigate legal and reputational risks.
Incident Management at the Project Level
Agile projects sometimes go through incidents like service outages, performance degradation, scope creep, external factors such as natural disaster and much more. Tracking such incidents outside the project leads to poor visibility, delayed response, and unclear accountability.By creating an Incident Management Custom Module at the project level, project managers can track and handle incidents directly within the workspace. Each incident record can capture severity, impacted components, root cause, affected users, SLA priority, and current status.Project managers gain full visibility into how incidents impact each sprint and how the user works on fixing the incident. Root cause of the incident and its trends are discussed during retrospectives, helping teams reduce future disruptions and improve reliability.

You can create custom modules with two types of scope:
- Global module: This is defined as a workspace level module
- Project module: This is defined as a project level module
