Google Drive extension

Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service offered by Google. Users can store files and sync them with multiple devices. Install the Google Drive plug-in for Zoho Sprints and associate images and documents to your work items.

Let's assume you've finished a client call and the client has shared all the requirements in Google Drive. With the Google Drive plug-in installed, all you need to do is just create a work item, attach the required documents from the drive, and assign it to the concerned team.

Install extension

To install the extension:
  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.
  2. Click All under Marketplace section. The listing page will appear.
  3. Select Google Drive for Zoho Sprints.

  4. Click Install in the following page.
  5. Select the projects and set the accessibility for the users.
  6. Click Install Now. After the installation, go to the Authorization tab.
  7. Click Authorize to grant access to your Google Drive and Zoho Sprints accounts and also authorize trigger.

Create files and folders from Zoho Sprints

To create google drive files:
  1. Open the required work item.

  2. Click the Google Drive icon on the right navigation bar.

  3. Click the Create button. The create window will appear.
  4. Enter file name.
  5. Select file type.

  6. Click Create. The file will appear in the Gdrive window and the created file will appear in the listing page of Gdrive extension of that work item.
To create google drive folder:
  1. Open the required work item.
  2. Click the Google Drive icon on the right navigation bar.
  3. Click the Associate button. The Drive window will appear.
  4. Click the Click here link to create folder.

  5. Enter folder name and click the Create button. The folder will be created.

Associate files from drive

  1. Open the required work item.
  2. Click the Google Drive icon on the right navigation bar.

  3. Click Associate button.
  4. Select the files you need to associate.
  5. You can choose different drives from the dropdown on the top.
  6. You can search for a particular file by using the search in the upper-right corner.
  7. Click Attach Files.
The associated files can be downloaded to your system and can be deleted if they are no longer needed.
  1. Click the Associate More button to attach more files.
  2. Click the search icon to look for files.

 Export files to Google Drive

You can export files directly to your Google Drive. This also includes schedules exports.

To export files:
  1. Go to the required module. (Export is supported only for work items. You can export from global view, backlog, sprint, release, and epic.)
  2. Click the ellipsis icon.

  3. Click Export option. The export window will appear.
  4. Select the file format for export.
  5. Select fields to be exported.
  6. Apply filter criteria, if needed.
  7. Select Recurrence Type for scheduled exports.
  8. Select Export to dropdown as Google Drive.
  9. Select the Target Folder.

  10. Select Yes or No to replace export files in the target folder.
    1. Yes to replace previous export files with latest export file
    2. No to not replace previous export files
  11. Click Export. The export will be initiated.
  12. Click the ellipsis icon and select Export History option. Click the file name of the arrow icon to open the file from here.


Extension permission

The extension can be enabled only for specific projects, users, and user profiles.
  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.
  2. Click All under Marketplace section. The listing page will appear.
  3. Select Installed Extensions.
  4. Find Google Drive extension.
  5. Click Specific Projects and select projects.
  6. Select All Projects if you want the extension in all projects.
  7. Select Specific Profiles and Specific Users.
  8. Click Update.

Disable Google Drive  

To disable the plug-in temporarily:
  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.
  2. Click All under Marketplace section.
  3. Go to Installed Extension. The listing page will appear.
  4. Find Google Drive for Zoho Sprints.
  5. Click Disable. The extension will be disabled. 

Uninstall extension

To uninstall:
  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.
  2. Click All under Marketplace section.
  3. Go to Installed Extension. The listing page will appear.
  4. Find Google Drive for Zoho Sprints.
  5. Click Uninstall. The extension will be uninstalled and configuration will be removed.
