Expanding and securing ways to share your spreadsheet: email as attachment and password protection

While Zoho Sheet allows you to share and collaborate with your colleagues in real time, you might wish to send your spreadsheets as email attachments or keep an offline version of a confidential file with password protection. Here's how our new options in Zoho Sheet can help you easily meet these needs.

Send as email attachment

You can now send your current spreadsheet as an email attachment in your preferred file format, with a custom message and password protection, directly from the Sheet spreadsheet editor. No need to download and then upload your file into an email service!

Secure with a password

Have a confidential spreadsheet you wish to download and keep secure? Set a password and make sure your data is well protected, even when stored offline.

Know your spreadsheet

In addition to the above options, we have also introduced Spreadsheet Properties. Use the Spreadsheet Properties to get an instant summary about your spreadsheet all in one place. Whether you need to know the file owner, saved location, date of last edit, or other details, you can check this space to quickly get the answer.

We are glad to release the 'Data Validation' functionality in Zoho Sheet. Using this, you could restrict the data that is entered in cells to a specific condition that you set. If it is a numeric cell, you could add numeric constraints like the number should be less than 20, or between 40 and 60, etc. This could be really useful when you have a calculator like functionality on your spreadsheet and expect the input data to fall within a range. Similarly you can set rules on cells with Text and Date
