Say hello to the new Writer
Hi everyone! Today, we're super excited to announce Writer's biggest update this year! The all-new Writer offers a collection of features you've always wanted, and some additional ones to help ease your everyday work.
Without much further ado, here is everything new:
Insightful collaboration
1. Engagement insights
Now, Writer gives you insights on how your collaborators engage with your documents at every stage, which page was most read, and how much time they spent working on the document.
2. Comment visibility
Have parallel conversations by restricting the visibility of comments to specific people, user roles, and groups.
3. Comment formatting
Make your point stronger by adding formatting to text in comments and hyperlinking any part of your comment.
4. Zia in Comments
Zia now makes sure your comments are well-written by checking for grammar errors in your comments as well.
Automation at its best
1. Prepare templates from scratch
The new Prepare Template option is home to everything you need to set up your template.
2. Configure what happens after a merge
Once you're done with the document content, you can configure how you want the template to behave each time a merge is initiated.
Tools to customize your work
1. Import Styles
If you like the particular style of another document and want to use the same style for your current document, all you have to do is import it.
2. Design tab
Create your masterpiece document by choosing from over 10,000 style combinations, or mix and match from different sets, fonts, and colors.
3. Custom fonts
Want to work with your own fonts in Writer? You can now bring in fonts that are available in your system and add them to Writer's font library.
4. Organization templates
Create and design a document layout from scratch, save it as a template, and share it across your organization.
Everything to better organize your documents
1. Drag-and-drop content
Get a bird's-eye view of your entire document and easily restructure your content by moving your section headings around in the panel.
2. View and edit pages in one go
Writer's new multi-page view not only lets you view all your pages at once, but also helps you edit multiple pages at once.
3. Copy data from Sheet
You can simply copy data from Zoho Sheet and paste it in your Writer document, with the option of linking it to the data source.
4. Find anything and everything
The Advanced Find option helps you search for and replace almost anything in a document—repeating text, blank spaces, and even images.
5. Know your document status
Check the status at the top of your document to see whether it's been completed, published, or signed, as well as the details of who performed which task at what time.
6. Hide images
Whether it's your own work or a colleague's, you can now hide the images in your documents and review only the content without any distractions.
Interactive fillable documents
1. Design fillable documents from scratch
From drop-downs to signatures and address fields, we've added everything you'd need to create a clean, stylish fillable document.
2. Publish the document as a form
Publish your fillable document as a form, which respondents can then fill out and send a copy back to you, without affecting the original document you created.
3. Bring it back to your system
With Zoho Sign and Zoho Workdrive added, you can now bring your filled documents back to your ecosystem automatically to keep all your information in one unified place.
Other improvements ✨
1. Now you can edit your sign workflow message at any given time, even after you've pushed the document for sign collection.
2. We improved the overall loading time for documents, so you open documents quickly.
The new Writer Desktop app
The Writer that you know and love, with all the amazing features listed above, is now available in an app that you can download to your desktop. Writer's desktop app is now available for download on macOS, Linux, and Windows platforms.

If you are not the owner of a scheduled report, Zoho recently removed the capability to see each scheduled report. As an admin who relies on seeing all scheduled reports being sent, this is a terrible update. Now I cannot see ANY scheduled reports...even the ones I am being sent!!
