Zoho Projects app update - iOS
Hello, Everyone!
In the most recent iOS iteration of the Zoho Projects mobile app(v3.7), we have extended support for the below mentioned functionalities:
- Custom fields in the Timesheet module.
- Revamped Timesheet details view.
- Timeline view for timers/ time log.
- Filter Timesheets using various custom fields.
- Add notes when you pause a timer.
- Control over time log access.
Custom fields in the Timesheet module:
Now, the Timesheet module within the mobile app boasts the capability of accommodating custom fields that you have configured in the Timesheet module on the Projects web app (projects.zoho.com).
Types of custom fields that are supported within the Timesheet:
- Single line field
- Multi line field
- Pick list field
- User pick list field
- Date field
- Date and Time field
- Checkbox field
- Currency field
- Percentage field
- Number field
- Decimal field
- Formula field
- Email field
- Phone no field
- URL field
- Lookup field

Revamped Timesheet details view:
With the revamped Timesheet details view, you can delve into a more comprehensive overview of log hours and approval status within the corresponding timesheet. Please refer to the GIF depicted below:
Timeline view for Timers/ Time Logs:
By accessing the 'Timer Details' view available within a timesheet, you can gain insights on the timeline of the respective \ log. Refer to the screenshot depicted below:
Custom fields in filtering Timesheets:
You can now filter timesheets using custom fields such as Pick list, User Pick list and Lookup fields that are available within the Filter option. This advanced filtering option ensures that you can effortlessly pinpoint the information you need. Please refer to the below depicted screenshot:
Add notes while you pause a timer:
Now, when you pause a timer, you have the flexibility to attach notes. These notes seamlessly integrate with the timeline view of the respective timer. Refer to the GIF depicted below:
Control over time log access:
Earlier, only the task/ bug owner were able to access the timer icon. In addition to that you can now choose 'Anyone in Projects' option which enables all the users available with the respective projects to add logs by accessing the timer icon or manually.
You can do so by following the steps mentioned below:

- Go on to the Zoho Projects web app.
- Select 'Settings' (gear icon) option.
- Tap the 'Portal configuration' option available within the right pane.
- Select the 'Task and Timesheet' option.
- Select 'Timesheet Settings' option
- For the 'Time Log User Restriction' field select 'Anyone in Projects' option.

Note: Types of restrictions supported in the mobile app are 'Task & Issue Owner ' and 'Anyone in Projects'.
