Usability Enhancements and suggestions
In general, I have been very pleased by the continuing product development and refinements. Zoho continues to be proactive and I appreciate the effort it takes to continuously improve the products. I particularly appreciate the work in improving workflow and adding macros to help automate functions and reduce the number of "clicks" it takes to use the program efficiently. Now that the "new" User Interface has been out for awhile I want to offer some suggestions for making ZCRM easier to use. 1 -
Surname in template
How do I insert a surname in a quote template? For instance, I want to say: Dear Mr. Contact Name, Here is what my code looks like: Dear ${Contacts.Surname} ${Quotes.Contact Name}, It does not work. I know I can set up a custom field but contacts already have a drop down box where you can choose surnames. Thank you
How do I associate a third party sale person to multiple accounts?
We have a large distributor sales team that works for a third party company. If I enter each sales person in the CRM and assign them to their company as a contact, is there a way to also connect them to their customers they service for us. I do not want to enter them as a users as they will not be using our CRM but have set them up as contacts within our system. Is there a way to either assign them to multiple accounts? Or is there a way that I can create a custom field within an customer account
Custom Fields - Mobile Apps
I am test driving this now for my sales team. So far, this looks very good. My question is this... If I add a custom field in the web version of the product, say to the Leads Form, does it ever go to the iPhone, iPad apps as well or are those fields there just standard? Thank you.

Storing Credit Card Details?
Hi all, A general usage/security question here. We have card details for a number of contacts/clients. I know we can create custom fields to input client card details into our CRM so that their cards can be stored on file but I understand that is a major security risk. Has anyone safely stored client card details in their CRM, how does one go about storing client card data securely using a solution such as Zoho CRM? Or do we need integration with another system to accomplish this safely?

ZOHO CRM does not stay logged in.
We have recently switched to Zoho and we use CRM constantly throughout the day. All of my staff are reporting that their sessions will not stay logged in. I have verified everyone selects the "Keep me logged in" option on login, and there are a number of different platforms and browsers being used, so it is not a browser specific issue. This is incredibly frustrating, as they may go to log a call, and they suddenly need to log in while on the phone. I have tried setting it up to log in automatically

Using Zoho CRM in a Cloth Store
I have a cloth Store here in Brazil and I`d like to use Zoho as a CRM and to control my inventory. I don`t really need Leads and potentials, I just need a list with all my clients and the purchase history. How can I implement it? Do I use the Leads tab to save my clients? Or the contacts tab? Am receiving an error message when trying to add accounts
We recently resurrected our free zoho CRM tool. I am able to delete an edit accounts, so I deleted about 15 accounts and merged about 20+. When I went to enter some one new account, I received an error: "sorry you have reached the maximum limit in your current edition" I received the same error just trying to add a contact, etc. Any ideas?
Creating steps for managing potential records
Hi, At the moment we are leveraging Zoho CRM to email our developers when a potential record has been closed and won. We simply have an email template poppulated manually with what is reuqired and the required developer is sent the email containing the required tasks. I have my time zone set to "(GMT -5:0) Eastern Standard Time ( EST )" because I live in the state of North Carolina in the United States. Whenever I go to make a change anywhere it says the last modified time was 1 hour behind the current time- even though I know for a fact that I made the change 2 seconds ago. Please fix this!

I have a series of Leads and Contacts which have a field that I have checked. For all leads with a checkmark, I need them to get specific emails on specific days for the balance of this year. Mapping field dependencies and web forms
If I have created field dependencies and need these to be populated based on the details provided in the web forms, how do I achieve this? As example assume I have a primary field called Department and based on the department the user selects, it then populates the required data related to the primary field Department. BUG REPORT: formula field of boolean type executes without user input/edit in INVOICES module
We created a formula field of Boolean type in Invoices and were very surprised to see the newly created forumula field in ALL the records marked as FALSE (independently on whether the condition is actually met or not), when we haven't even edited the records! The correct behaviour, as it happens in all other modules, is that the formula field does not execute UNTIL the record is EDITED by the user. Activity Description Justification
Zoho CRM is used for sales pipeline prospecting. I utilize the description field to add limited remarks on conversations, voicemails, etc. The justification is set at <center> which is very hard to determine where each note stops and starts. Would be much better for all columns to be justified <top> or <left>. An example is attached. I have begun adding 3 asterisks (***) to denote where a new note starts. Need some help making a simple hard code change here.

I signed up for the professional which said it integrated with my Zoho mail. I sent a message to a contact inside CRM but the reply came back only to my Zoho Email side and does not show up in the Contacts screen on the CRM side. Is this normal?
