How to enter a lead with only a phone number?
Zoho is my first attempt at some sort of lead tracking tool. I am a real estate investor and often my leads begin with nothing more than a phone number from a yard sign and/or an address. First off, is this the right tool for this? Next, if it is, how do I enter a lead when a phone numbers is the only information I have? The form seems to require NAME. Could I enter FSBO or something similar as the name? Any suggestions on how to make this tool work best for me are appreciated. Thanks,
Problems with Data Loss and Importing Leads
We have imported several Leads and now existing leads that were in CRM and being worked are now missing. We can find the records when we do a search but when we click on those Records Zoho is telling us the record has been deleted or we don't have access. I am the administrator, so I have access to everything. So this doesn't make any sense. Quick Create Notes in CRM
Is there a way to quick create a note from a link on the side bar or top menu and then add it to a contact or account? There are times when I meet someone and I rather to have to pull up their record, or maybe they don't have one yet, I can still take notes on our meeting. Thanks!
Can't create a forecast
I want to start using the forecast module. I choose the forecast tab and then New Forecast. I choose this fiscal quarter (or next) and then choose next. I just get a blank page with nothing on it. Have tried this in every browser just in case there is a problem with compatibility and the module fails to work.
Inventory Units: Alternate Units of Measure
We currently have products which are billed by the vendor in 1 certain unit of measure, but for ease of selling to the customer, we sell them in an alternate unit of measure. For examples, we need products to be setup so that 1 roll is 100 SqFt: We buy from vendor at $1 per SqFt which is the master unit. The product is saleable per roll, equal to 100 SqFt. When writing a quote or sales order, 1 roll = $100. Does ZoHo have the ability to do this conversion??
Related lists and notes
When you add a note to a contact that note shows up under the note section of the account that the contact is linked to. Unfortunately it seems that you can not access this "related list" information from a report. As far as I can tell there is no way to create a report to show all notes for a given account if the notes are at the contact level.
Setting Followup
When a task is completed is there a way to set a followup task or does a new one have to be created?
Web-to-Lead form and AJAX
Hello, Has anyone ever used jquery's form plugin with a web-to-lead form from zoho crm? I have been looking for some guidance as to how to allow my webpage to update with a thank you message upon successful completion and submission of the web to lead form without refreshing the page. It seems like the jquery form plugin is a good place to start. Does anyone have any experience with this that could be shared? TIA
Web-to-lead Required Fields
Hi, I recently integrated a contact form on my site with Zoho CRM with the web-to-lead feature. It works nicely; however, the issue I have is there doesn't seem to be a way to make certain fields required. Is this possible? I've already started getting messages with no first or last name, which makes the whole thing kind of pointless. Any insight on how to make required fields would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Chris

Decimal field: default value
Hi, Is it possible to change the default value of a decimal field? If we don't fill it it shows 0.0 but I would like to change this 0.0 into another number, is there any solution? Thanks for your help!
E-mails need to update Modified by time
E-mails sent from the Contact record, Autoresponders, Workflow emails, and Mass e-mails *ALL* need to update the Modified By timestamp on a Contact record. If we are to keep track of how often someone is "touched", or create a view based on how "old" a contact is (or how long they have been "missed"), this is critical. Many sales teams primary goal is to just keep in touch with a contact/prospect/lead. To that end, they schedule tasks and emails based on the last date that person was "touched".
Email when case is changed
Hello, I've set up a workflow rule that is supposed to execute upon editing or creating a case and to send an email to the case owner, but our case owners only receive an email when we create a case, and not when we edit a case. I haven't tried creating two separate workflow rules, one for creating a case and one for editing a case, but that seems unnecessary considering there is an option present to execute upon creating OR editing a case. Am I missing something? Is this intended?
Transferring CRM Templates
I have two different scenarios for transferring the CRM template and would like to know if it is possible to do for either. 1. Lead Address format for UK style?
Hi there I see from the address fileds availabale in Leads that the field names are very 'American' in their naming (Province etc.) Is there some way I can change the label used for the address fields to match a more UK style of address format? Form submission works locally but not when uploaded to live servers.
Hello, I'm working on a form for a client that uses Zoho CRM. When I test the form on my local machine it works fine, but when I upload it to my server (or the clients) the form does not work correctly. It seems like it works because I still end up at the redirect page after submission but I never get a confirmation email. Can anyone help me with this issue please. I have a setup in my Zoho CRM account that i only can access from a specific IP adress. Now i have thisa problem, that my internet provider are working wtih dynamic IP adress, so i can´t login now. Is there a way to reset my login function or anything else to do. Because its really a big problem for me??

Customise Activities Related List
The recent additions of two new columns in the Activities Related List (as seen on Accounts & Contacts Tabs) mean we now have 9 columns. This is leading to sever space problems with the 'subject' column often squashed into 3 or 4 lines... The new columns are 'start datetime' and 'end datetime' - but what do these columns mean? The length of the title alone means a lot of extra space. If, like me, you use the Activities mostly for 'Tasks' these new columns are wasted and take up valuable screen

Currently our office has 3 locations. All three have the same workflow, but the tasks are done by different people in each location. Right now I have to create THREE different workflow rules to trigger the same task. The only difference is who the task is being assigned to based on location. Understanding Accounts and Contacts
I am not using the CRM in the traditional manner I suppose so I have some questions on how all of you experienced people would do this. I have 3 layers to our contacts. Company > Branch > Person This is what I figured I could do, correct me if there is a better way. Treat the companies and branches as an account. So if there are 3 branches, have 3 accounts setup. Hi, As I understand it Google Apps lets you add/verify multiple domains to one instance of G-Apps. Will this cause any issues with adding an existing CRM account to G-Apps from the marketplace that has CRM users with email addresses in both domains? e.g. current CRM set up includes users from A_Domain.com and also from B_Domain.com If they set up Google Apps so their primary domain is A_Domain, but also have the B_Domain added and then add CRM from the Marketplace will this affect the existing CRM
Sorting Potentials by Stage
It does not make sense to sort potentials by stage alphabetically. For potentials' stage there is the item Sort order by which it should be sorted (that I can modify in setup), it looks like this sort order number is ignored throughout the aplication, seems to be a bug. This sorting by stage doesn't work in potentials page, nor it does in reports for example Pipeline by stage.. Again sorted stage alphabetically. Looks like a programmer just applied the same sorting rule to all columns without thinking

Google apps embedded/contextual gadgets
Is there a way to only turn this gadget on for people that are using Zoho? Right now only upper management is trying out the software but my other 300 or so users are whining about the gadget at the bottom of each of their email messages.
