Updating contacts via CSV roundtrip and matching with Contact Id
Hi Guys, I've been trying to tidy up our contacts in Zoho. I hoped that if I exported contacts to CSV with the Contact Id, I'd be able to edit those contacts in Excel and re-import them using the Contact Id to match the right Zoho contacts when I re-import. It seems that Zoho actually matches to the Last Name during the CSV import (this is the only mandated import field) and not even to the email address (which is ambiguous for duplicate contacts with the same email address). This seem illogical.
Cannot add extra user to Zoho

Why does exporting XLS or CSV insert hyphens into fields with empty values?
Hello, Novice question. When I export from Zoho CRM either XLS or CSV --> If I have a field for a second street address or a field for a department intentionally left blank or empty, Zoho CRM export process auto-inserts a hyphen character into the export file. I suppose I could then find and delete all of these values after the export, but am I missing a simpler solution? What am I doing wrong? This export is for mailing address labels. Update Leads Activity from a spreadsheet
I have approximately 900 leads, and I have sent a postcard to approximately 600 of them. I have those 600 in a spreadsheet. Is there a way for me to import this activity in Zoho CRM to update these leads to show postcard sent? Thanks for any assistance with this!

Consolidated History
Is there an option, or can we have one, for a "Consolidated History" under each contact and potentially under each Account? I am sure there are plenty of reasons why someone might want to see their emails, completed tasks, notes, completed events, etc. sorted out under individual headings, but for our use this just makes the history of what has gone on in the account hard to follow. Sending Case details to Contacts
I have created an email template pulling fields from a case. The template is set up as a case. I want to send this to a contact. Can I set up a lookup field on the case to pull in the contacts name and then be able to access the template (listed under cases and not contacts) and send it to the contact??

What am I doing wrong? First I create a calender event and I invitate people to the event. Problem: the person invited to the event can't see the actual event in his or her's calender. It comes to the events module on the front page, but only appears on my own calender.

New UI Suggestion - Autohide the "recent items" tab
The recent items tab stays "sticky" when you click on it. Please auto-hide it after you select a record. Currently you have to click elsewhere or click the "x" to close.
Different Font in CRM? PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!
So sign into zoho this morning and it looks totally different. Looks like a different font perhaps and everything seems more spaced out. Unfortunately this leads to lots of scrolling when previously my info usually fit one one page... Please put it back the way it was yesterday! This looks horrible.

Hello, We need to have master and sub products. For example, if someone orders a computer we have bundles that also contain the computer and other products such as a mouse, keyboard etc etc. Right now though the computer and bundle have to be completely different products so they cannot share the shame stock even though the computer comes from the same product. Zoho CRM Fonts and Text Spacing
Why the recent change to the Zoho CRM fonts and spacing? Many of the modules are getting harder and harder to read, because the font is not bold enough, and recently you changed font styles. Now there is more "white space" which leads to more scroling, clicking, a real time waster and the fonts are not sharp - grey characters. "Insufficient privileges" error trying to setup company details
I'm logged in as administrator, trying to enter (for the first time) Company Details, under Organization Information at https://crm.zoho.com/crm/setupInner.do?page=Security.do?actionName=createOrg&tab=org&in=company I enter all the required information and hit Save, and I get the error: "Insufficient Privileges to perform this operation. Cases not showing up under "Accounts" listing, also alerts question
So I've created 2 cases for a certain "Test" account that I have. When I go to the Cases tab at the top, they show up normally. When I go to the "Accounts" tab at the top, and then choose my Test account, the cases don't show up under the "CASES" Section below the basic information for that account. It shows up under the "ACCOUNTS" Section below the basic information. Is this a glitch or error of some kind? Also, is that causing other pieces to not work? Unrelated, but also wondering

BCC Dropbox not working
I'm setting up all our sales team on Zoho CRM and the BCC Dropbox feature is not working. I tested a couple of e-mails, both sent from my Outlook and Web and it does nothing It does not tie it to an existing lead, and it does not create a new lead when there isn't one already present. In zoho crm's formula fields, is their a string to number function? There's a number to string function, and there's some string to long function in zoho creator, but is there a string to number function in zoho CRM?
Real grouping of report rows
I'm trying to create a simple summary report and I need to be able to group rows like I would in any SQL database. It seems that Zoho CRM Reports has a group feature but it doesn't collapse the rows - I still get all the rows even though I only want the summary data. Specifically, I want to create Companies report that shows me a distinct name of the company from the Lead and the number of leads we have for it. Something like "select company_name, count(*) as leads from lead group by company_name".
Mail Merge Doc problem
Hi, I have a document loaded in to the mail merge templates. The problem is it is only one page but when we merge and make PDF it is over 2 pages ( The second page is blank). The other problem is, when you go to edit it in the online editor, all the formating and layout is lost. I've attached the document. Chris

Link back to potential in an email alert template
My gut says I can write a custom function to auto populate the direct link back to a potential in the body of Email Alerts I send to my users when a deal is WON. Has anyone done this? Simply, I want to send automated email to internal users when a salesperson closes a sale. In the body of the email I would like there to be a link to click for user to be taken straight into CRM record for that specific deal. Potentials appear to use the PotentialID hash and if there's a way to create a custom function
Forecast - anyone use?
Does anyone use the Forecast module? It is extremely limited and I've requested some features from Zoho but Forecast module improvement does not seem to be a priority. Wondering if any other companies actually use it and if so, how? And what would you like to see improved?

Using a Unique Identifier instead of a Company Name in the Account Name field
Due to the issue posted here: https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/how-to-associate-accounts-and-contacts-via-api I may need to keep a Unique ID number in the ACCOUNT NAME field. Other than the letters for sorting the records at the bottom of the page not being very useful, does anyone see any other limitations of using a Unique ID in the ACCOUNT NAME fields

Contacts vs Accounts
Hi, I started using this CRM about a month ago, and I find it very confusing the way it handles Accounts and Contacts. I just want one account to be the same as a contact. The company name would be under the contact name. As a newbie, I inserted ALL my contacts (and was associating all to an unique Account before I knew what was this about). Now... I'm not really happy by having to create all accounts which are the same as my contacts again... Is there something that I'm missing? Thank you
Advance filter - today
My apology if this question has been answer a gadzillion times already.... but I can't find the answer. We are using the CRM "Old Professional" edition. In reports, how do I use the advanced filter to filter the date field to today, or today+offset? I tried Today, and Today() all to no avail. Appreciate a prompt answer.
Notes not carrying over to converted potential
when I convert a lead to a contact/account and create a potential, the lead notes are gone. They usually show up in the potential, but today, nothing. This is a big problem to lose all my lead notes. Especially ones that are progressing through the pipeline. -J
