Promote your event through an affiliate network to broaden your brand's reputation and rope in a wider audience. With unique links for your affiliates, you can efficiently track and monitor their performance and gauge what works best for your event.
Create affiliate link
Before you can create individual links for all your affiliates and start collecting data on the amount of traffic and sales generated from a particular source, you need to add the affiliate in your Event Console.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- Click the Add Affiliate button.
- Enter the Affiliate Name in the text box to create a unique URL for the affiliate link.
- Click Add.
Get affiliate link
Now that the affiliate has been added, you can identify and track the actions of affiliates using unique links for each one. The affiliate link usually contains the affiliate name at the end of the microsite link. You can paste this link in affiliate websites to redirect visitors to your event microsite.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- Click the Get Link button for that affiliate.
- Click Copy.
Know how well your affiliates are performing by monitoring data like the orders placed and the traffic received. These KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) will help you refine your strategy. Also, when an attendee registers for your event through an affiliate link, the details of it will be mentioned in the Attendee tab too.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- The following details will be available:
- Visitors who accessed the event website via the link.
- Total orders placed.
- Total sales revenue generated from ticket sales.
- Total orders placed.
- Total sales revenue generated from ticket sales.
Exporting affiliates
Generate an offline copy of your list of affiliates. You can set a password before you download a copy to secure your file.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- Click the Export button in the top-right corner. The Export Affiliates dialogue box will appear.
- To add a password, click the Protect the file with a password checkbox.
- Enter a password.
- Select a file format for your export.
- Click Export.

Deactivate affiliate link
Deactivate your affiliates to pause tracking at any time. All the previous data will be saved and you can reactivate the links again to resume data collection when you're ready.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- Open the Dropdown Menu associated with the affiliate.
- Click Deactivate.
Note: Your microsite can be accessed from deactivated affiliate links, but the details of the visits will not be saved in Backstage.
Delete affiliate link
Remove affiliates that are no longer a part of your affiliate strategy.
- Go to Manage > Promote > Affiliate tab, from the Dock.
- Open the Dropdown Menu associated with the affiliate.
- Click Delete.
Note: Only affiliate links that have not been used can be deleted.
