Notification Emails

Zoho BugTracker allows users and admins to control the email notifications they receive. Toggle only the relevant notifications and reduce clutter. Users can also opt for a summary email and receive a consolidated list of activities at a desired frequency.

Notifications: Email

  1. Click in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
  2. Navigate to the Personal Preferences section, click Notifications, and click Personal Email.
  3. Toggle switches to manage Phase Notifications for the phases created by you and assigned to you.
    1. When you switch on the notifications for a category, you accept to receive emails for the category. 
  4. Toggle switches to manage Other notifications for the time logs created by you or any messages from the forum or when a new document is uploaded.
  5. If you wish to receive emails by default for all the activities in which you are involved, toggle the Notify me for all my activities options.
  6. You can receive emails at a frequency set by you. Choose the frequency in the Set email frequency section. 
  7. The changes are automatically saved. To return to another setting, navigate to any other section as you wish and click it.

Summary Email

If the number of notification emails are overwhelming you can choose to receive a consolidated email at a defined frequency.

  1. Click in the upper-right corner of the top band.
  2. Navigate to the Personal Preferences section, click Notifications, and click Personal Email.
  3. Select your Frequency under the Set email frequency section.
Notes

The following notifications will not be sent via email summary.

  • New portal invites
  • Bugs
  • All import and export notifications
  • Status comments, direct messages & related comments, @mentions, and event notifications

Notifications: Org Notifications

  1. Click  in the upper-right corner of the top band.
  2. Navigate to the Personal Preferences section, under Notifications, and click Org notifications.
  3. Click Portal users if you want to manage the default email notifications for new portal users.
    1. Click Client users if you want to manage the default email notifications for new client users.
  4. Toggle switches to manage Phase notifications for the phases created by you and assigned to you.
  5. Toggle switches to manage Other notifications for the time logs created by you or any messages from the forum or when a new document is uploaded.
  6. If you wish to receive emails by default for all the activities in which you are involved, switch on the Notify me for all my activities options.
  7. You can receive emails at a frequency set by you. Choose the frequency in the set email frequency section.
The changes are automatically saved. To return to another setting, navigate to any other section as you wish and click it.

Notifications: Activity Reminder

Configure your email notifications for the pending and unassigned bugs from your personal settings.

  1. Click in the upper-right corner of the top band.
  2. Navigate to Notifications and then click Activity Reminder.
    1. Daily Digest - the list of pending bugs and phases across all the projects will be sent to you.
    2. Unassigned Bugs - the list of unassigned bugs (i.e. bugs that don't have an owner) across all the projects will be sent to you.
    3. Overdue Items - the list of overdue work items across all projects will be sent to you.
  3. Set the frequency of the reminder emails in the Frequency field (i.e. Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).
  4. Select time to trigger the notification emails for the pending activities and unassigned bugs.
