Overview
- Removing an application from environments eliminates its multi-stage deployment, resulting in the deletion of two out of three environments. Only one environment remains and the retained version of the application functions as a production only application. In other words, removing an application from environment means converting an environment application into a production-only application accessible from the Solutions page.
- Removing the application from an environment is not equivalent to deleting the application itself.
Steps to remove an application from Environments
To remove an application from environments:

Navigate to the Environments pages under Deploy from Creator's left pane.

In the first column, navigate to the application which you want to remove. Click the meatball menu(three dots) present next to it and click the Remove environment option.

The Remove from Environments pane will be displayed. From here, you can choose which environment is to be retained from the dropdown menu.
- Based on the selection, the effect of removal(retained, deleted) of environments will be displayed as cards. Review the effects of the removal section before you click the Proceed to Remove button.
When a Production environment exists, only this particular environment can be retained. When you do so, the other Development changes and unpublished Stage versions will be lost. If you want to retain the unpublished changes in Development or unpublished versions in Stage environment, then you must publish them to Production first before removing them.
Points to Note

Review the effect of deletion once before the application is removed.

When an environment is deleted, all existing data within that environment is permanently deleted.

The unpublished changes or versions in the deleted environments cannot be recovered. If you want to retain these changes, you have to publish the changes to the environment you want to keep.

When an application is removed from the environment, the developers mapped to that application will be lost.

If an application has a Production environment, then among the three environments only the Production environment can be retained.
