Having a relevant background image for your business site can help showcase your products and services in a visually appealing way and allow users to develop an instant connection with your brand. This could include displaying a relevant cover photograph on your blog page to illustrate the story in your post or adding a product banner image to your webinar registration page to reinforce your brand to new users. You can add all these background images using the PageSense visual editor to upload large background images to your variation pages and make edits to the background color, font style, and picture border to instantly capture your visitors' interest.
To add a background image to the variation:
1. Select your A/B experiment and click the EDITOR tab at the top.
Your test page will open into the PageSense Visual Editor.
2. Hover over and click an area on the page to add a background image.
The action bar will appear on the page.
3. Click Insert then Background image from the menu list.
4. You can do the following in the Background editor:
Click the upload icon to select a new image from your computer or specify the URL address (if it's already available online) in the URL box to access your image.
Choose the background position where you want to place the image, such as the left top, right top, left center, etc. You can also enter a custom value either as a percentage or in pixels in the text box.
Select a background size based on whether you want the image to cover up the entire background area, be contained within the background area, or any of the other options in the dropdown.
Choose a background attachment to set the background image's position as fixed within the viewpoint or to scroll with its containing bloc,k or be fixed relative to the element's content.
Choose a background repeat property that sets if and how you want the background image to repeat either vertically or horizontally.
Click +Add Image to insert multiple background images to a variation page.
5. Click Apply.
To edit the background image:
1. Select your A/B experiment and click the EDITOR tab at the top.
2. Click the image to replace, select Edit and then Background image from the menu list.
3. Click the Close icon in the Background editor to remove the existing image and upload a new image as your background.
You can then edit background image properties like its size and position.
