What is E-Sign Documents in Zoho People?

E-Sign Documents is an online signature process in Zoho People that allows you to send files requiring acknowledgement and signatures from your employees. This ensures security and accuracy in the signing process, which is essential for verifying the signatory's identity and facilitating smooth transactions.
You can send a file for e-signature only after integrating with one of the e-sign platforms. For information on integrating with an e-sign platform, refer to  E-Sign Application Integrations. Upon integration, the E-Sign Documents tab and e-sign options will be visible in the Files > Operations section.

Why is it useful?

E-Sign Documents can be helpful in sending any document that requires a signature, you can send documents such as:
  1. Have agreements sent to the desired recipient(s) for e-signature.
  2. Send employee-related documents, such as probation confirmation, salary revision letters, etc., to a single employee or a group of employees for e-signature.
  3. Create custom E-sign templates using organization files or create one on Zoho Sign templates to easily select and send pre-set document templates to employees across your organization.
  4. Transfer letters authorizing employees to relocate to another office.
  5. Trainers granting course certifications for virtual training.
  6. Exit letters along with conduct certificates for employees leaving the organization.
