A domain name serves as a unique online identity for an organization, enhancing its branding, credibility, and accessibility. It enables professional communication, global reach and provides recognizability in the digital space. By adding your domains and getting them verified here in Zoho People, it is possible to access Zoho People using a customized domain in the URL, use official email addresses for notifications, add users directly, and more. For example, the access URL can be: www."your_org_domain".com
Rebranding works in conjunction with a verified domain to open the possibility of completely customizing the default access URL of Zoho People. For example, the default "people.zoho.com" can be customized into https://"your_org_name"."your_org_domain".com.

Once domains or subdomains have been verified, the next step is email authentication to validate the email source using DKIM Authentication.
Troubleshooting / Possible errors
If you encounter an error while verifying your domain after adding the CNAME or TXT record, consider the following issues:
- CNAME Verification Failure
If using the CNAME method, enter <zpeople>.<yourdomain.com/eu/cn/in> in your browser’s URL bar.
If the page does not redirect to the Zoho login page, check your CNAME values for accuracy.
- DNS Provider – Registrar Conflict
If your domain registrar differs from your DNS hosting provider, records added at the registrar may not be valid.
Perform a NameServer Lookup to determine where your DNS is hosted.
If uncertain, consult your domain registrar or technical contact to confirm name server settings.
- Long TTL (Time To Live)
DNS changes can take 12–24 hours to propagate, depending on the TTL value.
If TTL is set to a high value (e.g., 24–48 hours), verification may fail temporarily.
Check TTL settings and retry verification after some time.
- Incorrect Record Format
Some DNS providers require the full domain name (e.g., zpeople.yourdomain.com), while others only need the hostname (zpeople).
Refer to your DNS provider’s help documentation or support team to ensure proper formatting.
- Typos or Spelling Mistakes
Double-check the domain name entered in Zoho to ensure there are no errors.
Rebranding allows you to customize the default Zoho People login URL. By default, the login URL is people.zoho.com, but you can personalize it to match your domain after verifying it with Zoho.
