Create a Connector   

To create a new Connector:

1. Click the settings gear iconat the top right of the header bar.

2. Navigate to Advanced >> Bridge >> choose Connectors.

3. Click New Connector.

4. Fill in the New Connector details.

1. Name: Provide a unique name for the Connector.
2. Connection Type: Select the Type of connection. Currently Qntrl supports only JDBC.
3. Credential: Select the Credential name that has the credentials to connect to the intended database.
4. SQL Type: Select the type of your SQL database
   
1. SQL Server
   
2. MySQL
   
3. PostgreSQL
   
5. Connection Timeout: Specify the maximum timeout limit beyond which the connection will expire.
6. Query Timeout: Specify the maximum timeout limit beyond which the query execution will be suspended.
7. Host Name: Enter the hostname in which the DB is hosted.
8. Port: Enter the port number in which the DB runs.
9. Database Name: Enter the database name to be connected.
10. Instance: This field appears if the SQL Type is SQL Server. Enter the DB instance name.
    

5. Click Save. 

      

Edit a Connector   

To update the details of an existing Connector:

1. Navigate to (settings) >> Advanced >> Bridge >> select Connectors.

2. In the Connectors list page loaded, click on the Connector name you want to edit.

3. Make modifications and click Save. 

Delete a Connector   

To remove a Connector from Qntrl,

1. Navigate to(settings) >> Advanced >> Bridge >> select Connectors.

2. Hover over the name of the Connector you want to delete, click the mouse over action menu , and select Delete.

3. Confirm your delete action.
