Create and customize charts to visualize data

Create a chart

To create a chart:
  1. Select the range for which you need a chart.
  2. Click Insert > Chart. A chart is generated to best represent the data.
  3. Click the chart to open the contextual side panel.
  4. Edit or modify the chart type, design, title, legend and color scheme of the chart from within the side panel

Change the title of a chart

To edit a chart's title:
  1. Click on the chart.
  2. Click on the Chart icon in the side panel.
  3. Go to the "Customize" tab on the side panel.
  4. Select "Chart Title" from the drop down menu.
  5. Key-in the title you want to be displayed on the space provided.
  6. Alternatively, you can double click on the chart to directly enter in the edit mode.
  7. Once in the edit mode, you can click on the title and edit the text as you need.


Change color scheme of a chart

To edit a chart:
  1. Click on the chart.
  2. Click on the Chart icon in the side panel.
  3. Move to the "Custom" tab on the side pane.
  4. Click on the "Styles" drop down menu.
  5. Choose from the colour schemes provided, or create a custom style that suits your need.


Change the transparency of a chart

To edit a chart:
  1. Click on the chart.
  2. Click on the Chart icon in the side panel.
  3. Move to the "Custom" tab on the side pane.
  4. Click on the "Styles" drop down menu.
  5. Now change the transparency using the slider.


Aggregate elements of a chart

To aggregate elements of a chart:
  1. Click on the chart.
  2. Click on the Chart icon in the side panel.
  3. While on the "General" tab on the side panel, click on the "Aggregation" drop down menu.
  4. You can choose one of the six functions listed, based on which the chart elements will be aggregated.


Publish a chart

To publish a chart:
  1. Right click on the chart you want to publish, and choose Publish from the drop down.        
  2. Use the code snippet you get to embed or publish your chart.
  3. You can also choose to remove the public view of the chart by clicking Revert Publish from the menu.


Save a chart as an image

To save a chart as an image:
  1. Click Advance Options > Save As Image present in the menu.
  2. The chart is saved as a Portable Network Graphics (.png) image to your device.


Delete a chart

To delete a chart:
  1. Click Delete found in the menu when you select a chart.
  2. Alternatively, you can select the chart and hit the Delete key.
