This document talks about the various accessibility controls in detail and how they can be used for an inclusive form filling experience.
These are the key accessibility features Zoho Survey provides for users with disabilities or visual impairments.
Screen Reader Compatibility
When the accessibility function is used, people with visual impairments can hear everything that happens on their form since Zoho Survey surveys are compatible with screen readers. In order to perform manual testing, we used in-browser developer tools and assistive technologies, such as VoiceOver and NVDA.
Keyboard Navigation
Those who use screen readers must be able to use the keyboard to navigate the survey. With simply the keyboard, a survey created with Zoho Survey may be fully navigated. After turning on the screen reader, the focus naturally shifts between the buttons and fields when turning on the accessibility feature, usually imitating the form's visual structure.
Essential information, such error messages or required fields, is automatically highlighted by default to assist people with low eyesight. Users with visual impairments can more easily perceive important information thanks to this design decision, which guarantees that it sticks out strongly. By default, these visual signals create a more accessible and user-friendly experience for those with different visual needs by effectively communicating crucial data.
Error Identification
Zoho Survey will display the incorrect fields—typically by highlighting the field's border—when a user submits a survey with errors. Zoho Survey will show a particular error message also next to the highlighted field in addition to the visual cue. The notification for an invalid email format can say, for instance, "Please enter a valid email address." The form author has complete control over these default error messages.

Zoom Option
The page zoom feature in Zoho Survey allows you to enlarge material by up to 200%. Because it enables them to enlarge text and form fields, this function is beneficial for people who are visually impaired. In order to improve accessibility and make sure that people with different levels of visual acuity can easily view and interact with the survey elements, Zoho Survey allows users to zoom in on the page.
Responsive Survey
The responsive survey adjusts to fit different screen sizes, making it easier for users with visual impairments to read the survey forms easily. Provide a remarkable experience since filling our surveys as it fluidly adjusts to different screen sizes and browsers across all devices, enhancing inclusivity and accessibility for every user base.
