Delete and restore files and folders in My Folders
Weed out unwanted files and folders in My Folders by deleting them. If you make a mistake, though, you can restore them instantly. You'll never have to worry about accidentally deleting an important file again.
To delete a file or folder:
- Navigate to the left pane and click My Folders. The My Folders window will appear on the right.
- Right-click on the file or folder that you want to delete and select Move to Trash.
Alternatively, select a file or folder that you wish to delete, click the More actions (...) icon at the top, and choose Move to Trash.
The selected item will be moved to the Trash folder within My Folders.
Trashing files and folders that are shared with other team members will remove the files and folders for them, as well.
To restore a file or folder:
- Navigate to the left pane and click My Folders. The My Folders window will appear on the right.
- Click the Manage button next to My Folders at the top-left and choose Trash. The Trash folder will appear.
- Select the file or folder you want to restore and click the Restore button at the top of the trash list.
Alternatively, you can also hover over the file or folder and click the Restore icon to restore.
As an extra layer of data security, once items in the Trash are deleted, they will be temporarily moved to Deleted Items in the Admin Console.
