How to download a Writer document as a password protected PDF?

Open the document you want to download.
Go to File > Download As > Password Protected File.
In the Download Options dialog box, ensure that the format is set to PDF (.pdf).
Set up a password by entering it in the provided field and click Download.

How to download merged document a password protected PDF after mail merge?

Open the merge template.
Go to Automate and click Merge & save as individual files under "Choose Output"
In the Create Merged Document dialog box, assign a file name and choose a folder to save the file.
Ensure that the save as format is set to PDF Document (.pdf).
Check "Set password to open document" and set up a password by entering it in the field.
Click Save.
