How to check readability score in Zoho Writer

  1. Open your document

  2. Click the Zia icon from the top-right corner of the editor

  3. Navigate to the Ease of Reading section

  4. View the readability score and suggestions

Writer uses the Flesch Readability Score to evaluate how easy your content is to read.

  1. Open the Zia panel

  2. Go to Ease of Reading

  3. View the Run-on Sentences list

  4. Click each suggestion

  5. Split or correct the sentence

How to identify and reduce polysyllabic words

Polysyllabic words (words with more than two syllables) can make content harder to read.

  1. Open the Zia panel

  2. Under Ease of Reading, find Polysyllabic Words

  3. Review the highlighted words

  4. Replace them with simpler alternatives where possible

How to improve average sentence length

Shorter sentences improve clarity and readability.

Formula:
Average Sentence Length (ASL) = Total number of words ÷ Number of sentences

  1. Open the Zia panel

  2. Review sentences that exceed the average length

  3. Click suggestions

  4. Break long sentences into shorter ones
