Adding templates to manuals

To add manual level templates:

1. Navigate to the manual where you want to create templates.

2. Click the More options icon (

) in the top-right corner.

3. Click Templates.

4. Click New Template.

5. Enter a name and description for the template.

6. Click Create.

To save a template:

Navigate to the editor and click ( X ) in the top-right corner.

To publish a template from the editor:

Navigate to the editor and click Publish in the top-right corner.

The saved template will not be visible to your team unless you publish it. Your template will be automatically saved and listed in the Templates tab if not published.

Editing a template

To edit a template:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Edit.

Publishing a template

To publish an unpublished template:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Publish.

To unpublish a template:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Unpublish.

Deleting a template

To delete a template:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Delete.

Moving a manual template

To move a manual template to another manual or a space:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Move.

6. Click All Spaces to select the space or click All Manuals to select the manual.

7. Click Move.

Duplicating a manual template

To create a duplicate of a manual template in another manual or a space:

Navigate to your manual.
Click the More options icon () in the top-right corner.
Click Templates.
Click the More options icon () next to the template name.
Click Duplicate.

6. Click All Spaces to select the space or click All Manuals to select the manual.

7. Give a name for the copy of the template, then click Duplicate.

Managing Templates

From manual settings:

1. Navigate to the manual.

2. Click the More options icon (

) in the top-right corner.

3. Click Settings.

4. Go to the Templates tab.

From article creation:

1. Navigate to the manual.

2. Click the Add icon (

3. Click From Templates.

4. Go to the Custom template tab.

5. Click New template.
