Business hour revamp
- Presenting you this existing feature with lot more functionalities that make it even more functional.
2.
Link Emails to Deal
- Link a deal to its respective email to filter and view only the emails associated to individual deal.
Let us take a look at each of these in detail.
Business Hour Revamp
We have revamped the existing functionality of business hour and included a host of components like customizing business timings in the organization, adding different time zones and respective shifts, including holiday lists and the option to mark yourself busy.
- Customizing business hour: Your organization's working hours can range between 24/7 or 24/5. In case the work timings are different on different days, you can choose to customize the working hours for each day. In addition, you can select a particular day on which your company's week begins. For example, if your company observes holiday on Monday and thus the week begins on Tuesday; you can define the "Week Starts on" as "Tuesday".
- Creating Shift Hours: This is a new functionality where you can include up to 30 shifts within your organization's business hour. If your company provides services across the world, you can include those different time zones and assign them to employees. Also, you can transfer an employee from one shift to another as and when required either immediately or at a scheduled date. Similar to business hour you can customize the shift hour for each day.
- Creating Holiday List: Create separate holiday list for different timezones that your company follows and associate it to a respective shift hour. You can also create a holiday list for the current and the forthcoming year.
- Mark Unavailable: In the CRM calendar you can mark yourself busy for a particular time to ensure others are aware of your unavailability.
The above mentioned enhancements have also influenced other CRM functions like: assigning events, setting due date in repeated activities, few areas in workflow rules and blueprint transition. Read in detail about business hours and how it influences other features here.
Link Emails to Deal
It would be unusual to assume that a contact is always associated with a single deal, because in business there are very high chances that a single contact is associated to multiple deals. In that case, to follow-up or close a deal you would prefer to see the emails distinctly marked to a deal, rather than having them listed together. With this new option, you can associate emails to individual deals in two ways:
1. Automatic linking using predefined prediction pattern:
Zoho CRM automatically links contact's emails to individual deals using the Deal Prediction Method. The prediction mechanism varies for every scenario, for example if the contact has more than one open deal at the time of receipt of email it will be linked to the last modified deal. Similarly, if the contact has a Closed-Won deal, the email will be linked to that deal.
2. Manually linking, unlinking or changing a deal:
Though Zoho CRM will automatically link contacts emails to the deal, in case you want to change an established link or unlink the email from a deal you can do it manually from the Deals Email Related List.
