We get it. Scheduling posts on Instagram is a pain.
First, schedule the post, then get your phone out, check your notification, and then manually post from your mobile. Ugh. We've heard your complaints, and we agree. Having to follow a three-step process every time sounds tedious by itself, so we can only imagine how hard it must be to actually do it every time.
But it looks like Facebook has heard us too.
Yes! Facebook just announced that they're making changes to their Instagram Graph API, which will now allow users to publish to the network directly from third party applications.
While you might feel like this has been a long time coming, there are two catches to it. One, it's not open for all 3rd party tools. We're trying to get access to it as we speak. We'll keep you posted on this. Secondly, right now it's only available for Instagram business profiles and according to Instagram, "basic permissioning for non-business profiles will be supported in early 2019".
What does this mean for you?
Once Instagram opens this API to us, you'll no longer have to use your phone to schedule posts to your Instagram business profile. Until then, here's how
publishing on Instagram works on Zoho Social.
Watch this space. We'll keep you updated here!
